Thank you to Westjet and Nexus Tours. Our return flight from Puerto Vallarta to Regina scheduled for February 7th was cancelled cause the plane couldn’t leave Regina due to weather. Within 2 hours of the flight being cancelled Westjet set us up with vouchers for the Krystal Puerto Vallarta for all inclusive rooms and meals and transportation to and from the resort and a bonus day in Mexico. Some people complained the resort wasn’t as fancy as the one they had been in or the food wasn’t as good or it was an inconvenience to not be on the way home.
When you think of the logistics to arrange all of the above and train the staff to deal with 180 people and inform all the levels of hotel staff, food preparation, transportation that have to deal with 180 people suddenly out of their comfort zone and we know not everyone is going to be happy about it.
Thanks again Westjet and Nexus Tours for your excellent service and a very positive experience in an unplanned situation. Kudos to all your staff on WS4131 PVR to YQR.

I was almost scammed this morning. I was looking for advance tickets for the East Meets West concert at the Unitarian hall and found the event on line and got a continue screen that asked for a credit card number which I entered and the message came back that the card was invalid please re-enter and after a second time it said card is invalid please use a different card so I did and it also said it was invalid. A few minutes later I got a call from the Collabria security division asking if I had used my card for 2 purchases at a business in California, the first one was only 4.00 and the second one was 83.53. They declined the transactions, turns out it is a dating site. I immediately called the card security number for the second card I used and it was the same story, 2 transactions one for 4:00 and one for 53.53. Both it is those were declined and both cards were cancelled so now I wait for new cards, hope they are here before I go on holidays. Thanks to the ever vigilant security departments of the card companies.

It is with great sadness and many tears that we say goodbye to Mocha today. He was the greatest dog one could hope for and was exactly 3 months short of his 15th birthday. We were truly blessed to have had him in our home and lives for over 14 years and as hard as it is to say goodbye it was time and unfair to to expect him to hang on any longer. He went peacefully in my arms with Kristian and Susan with him for support. Run free Mocha.

Saskatchewans Mask mandates and vaccine protocols have been removed as of February 28th, 2022. Masks are still recommended for close contact to limit the spread of Covid 19 and the most recent variants.
I will continue to wear a mask during your treatment and recommend that my clients do as well. I will not refuse treatment if you choose not to wear a mask.
Please cancel and re-book your appointment if you are not feeling well or have any cold or flu like symptoms. We will get through this with some common sense and courtesy.

I am back in business with some new rules and guidelines. I have done a few treatments this week to test out the timing between treatments and fine tune the protocols for opening.

Here are the new rules for massage therapy appointments...

Please wait in your car until I open the door. You can also text or call to let me know that you are here. Only one client in the house at a time.

If you are sick in any way please cancel your appointment. I have an intake form to read and sign affirming you haven’t travelled or been in contact with anyone with Covid-19 before the treatment.

Masks are not mandatory but recommended. You can wear one if you so choose. You can bring your own. I will be wearing a mask, protective eye wear and an apron for your protection.

If you have attended a protest rally or large gathering please wait two weeks and monitor for symptoms before booking an appointment

Payment can be cash, cheque or e-transfer.
If you don't want a paper copy of receipt. I can text or email you a receipt.

Call the land line 306 525 5100 or
Call or text the cell 306 533 7598 to book an appointment.

Thank you for your patience. Wayne.

Some common sense tips for not bringing the virus home from an Australian.

The principle is really to try and not bring the virus home with you," he said.
"Without trying to make people completely paranoid, you don't have to be perfect, you just have to be as good as you can be.
"The list was to say that if you really want to do the best you can, these are the things you need to do."

A: Leaving home
B: While out
C: Arriving home

Checklist A: Leaving home:
The principle here is to prepare so that you can safely and easily decontaminate when you return home.
1: Remove all below-elbow hand and arm wear, watches, jewellery etc. They all stay home. You want to be able to wash thoroughly when you get home and you don't want to deal with crevices in these items. Wear short sleeves so you can easily wash your hands and forearms when you get home.
2: Leave your wallet/handbag home. Rationalise your keys. Just the ones you need this time. If you need to take things such as personal hygiene items, medicine etc, put these in a disposable brown paper bag.
3: Your phone goes into a ziplock bag. You will discard or wash the bag upon returning home. Avoid using your phone as much as possible while out.
4: No social media. You can manage without it for a while.
5: Credit card and photo ID go into ziplock bags too.
6: Wear shoes that live outside your door (or just inside your door if you must). Put them on as you leave. Choose enclosed shoes, not open toed, to keep your feet virus-free.
7: If you are going to work, take your own food in a disposable bag. Take a full water bottle too, in case you get thirsty.
8: Make sure there is an easily cleanable reasonable-sized plastic box at your door. You will need this when you get home.
9: All your bagged personal items go into a second plastic box which lives in the one spot in the car.
10: Plan your trip to minimise time away from the safety of your home.

Checklist B: While out:
Here are a few general principles
1: Don't touch your face
2: Don't touch anything with your hands that you don't absolutely need to.
3: Assume items others (or even you) may have touched recently are contaminated. Some of these include
• Doorknobs
• Handrails
• Traffic light call buttons
• Lift call and floor buttons
• Car door handles.
• Steering wheels and gear shifts.
• Flat door surfaces at chest height.
• Any item that can be lifted and moved.
4: Assume your hands will get contaminated and decontaminate them regularly. Do this while out with hand washing or if you cannot hand wash then use some sort of sanitiser. Hand washing is the most effective.
5: Push doors with feet preferably or shoulder/elbow if not.
6: When your face itches (it will) rub it with your upper arm. Practise this at home so you get used to it.
7: Avoid eating in any communal space. It is almost impossible not to touch your face when you eat. No drinks unless you brought them with you. Unless you are at work, try not to eat or drink while out at all.
8: At store check-outs, do not use cash. Use contactless payment. If you need to use your PIN, try to use a knuckle or maybe a ring finger (index fingers and thumbs are more likely to be used to touch your face).

Checklist C: Arriving home:
1: Get your items out of your car box/bag.
2: No hugs or close greetings yet. Remove shoes and leave at door.
3: Empty the contents of your paper bags and ziplock bags into the home box. Throw the bags away.
4: Wash your hands thoroughly.
5: Now clean the items in the home box one at a time - phone, cards etc. Use liberal soap and water or sanitiser gel if you have lots of this. But soap and water is very effective. Have a clean spot to place each one after cleaning. Finally clean the plastic box.
6: Now clean the car. Wipe door handle, steering wheel, gear shift, seat belt and any surfaces you may have touched. Clean the car box too.
7: Go back inside. Wash your hands again. You should be all good now.
Note: You can clean the ziplock bags thoroughly to reuse them if you want but the paper bags go in the bin as these cannot be effectively cleaned.

The decision to shut down my practice was incredibly difficult. This was not a decision I made lightly. As other Massage Therapy Associations, Chiropractor’s Associations and Physiotherapy Associations have recommended to suspend practices, I am following suit, effective immediately.

With a strong belief we need to help our first-line healthcare providers save the lives of Canadians, I have decided to suspend my practice and apply strict social distancing. With the common goal to stop the spread of COVID-19, I want to do what is right, even if it's the hard choice, and it is clear the right choice today is to suspend any and all appointments until April 1st.

Anyone who has an appointment booked past April 1st will have that said appointment remain.

Anyone who has an appointment booked prior to Match 31st was contacted directly with the option to reschedule.

Any appointments scheduled past the April 1st date will be kept pending, as I will be reassessing regularly; using up-to-date health information, in regards to any future steps I may need to make.

Please feel free to call if you have questions or just need to talk. Wayne

Surgery went well. Some discomfort but manageable. Protocol this time is to get out of the sling 3 times a day for a specific exercise and a few more movement exercises in the sling. Now just some time to heal and I will be good to go. Thanks for all the messages and support that really helps the healing process.
