TRUSTING THE PAUSE

A few weeks ago, I shared that I would be stepping into stillness. I didn’t know how deeply I needed it. What I also didn’t expect was how much clarity would meet me in that quiet.

When I first announced an August 7th launch and a July 14th preorder, it felt like the next right step. I was excited, hopeful, and ready. But as the date approached, something inside me shifted.

There was a wave of overwhelm. Not from the work itself, but from everything the summer holds. It’s a season where presence matters. People are scattered. Energy is outward. Then came delays with the venue I felt most aligned with. Weeks passed with no reply, and when I finally heard back, the date I was hoping for was already taken. Every part of it felt hard. Nothing was flowing. So I paused.

The longer I stayed in stillness, the more I remembered who I am and what this work really stands for. I am not here to force. I am not here to rush. I am here to lead by example.

To rise is sacred.
To reclaim is power.
To recreate is freedom.

This entire journey has taught me that alignment will always matter more than urgency. I can release the need for perfect timing and trust instead in divine timing.

So, here’s where things now stand:

EMBRACE the SUCK.

Because the suck is what leads to the success.

This picture? It’s a visual timeline of effort. About 20 copies. All a little different.

None quite right.

But each one brought me closer.

Today, I held the thickest version! The one I went back into to add more. The one I poured more of me into.

This time, there were feelings!
Maybe it was because my mom was here. Maybe it was watching her eyes light up. Maybe it was feeling her pride land in my chest like a warm hug.

Whatever it was, it made today different.

I still have one more revision to go. Still a few formatting quirks to figure out. But I’m almost there. This book is almost ready to meet the world.

All these almosts?

They remind me that we don’t get better without being willing to be beginners. That when we try something totally outside our current realm of ability, we’re supposed to stumble.

We’re meant to suck at first.

So don’t quit just because it’s messy. Don’t give up because it’s uncomfortable. Keep going. Learn. Grow. Get better. Then do it again.

You’re not failing. You’re just finding your way through. (a reminder to all of us)

This morning, I placed the order for my author copies of the Fiercely Feminine book, and my heart is overflowing with pride and joy.

It still doesn’t feel quite real. After investing over 200 hours into these pages, I kept going back. Refining, deepening, clarifying. Not to make it perfect, but to make it true. I added more invitations for the reader to connect with herself. I wrote a clear explanation of why the book is laid out the way it is. I expanded on the Fiercely Feminine Spiral of Transformation. This isn’t just a book. It’s a sacred journey. Every part of it was created to reflect that.

The final word count came in at exactly 41114. If you know me, you know numbers speak to me. That sequence felt like more than a coincidence. It felt like divine affirmation.

The timing makes it even more meaningful. Today is Friday the 13th, a date that has long been misunderstood. In ancient and spiritual traditions, this day is known as the Day of the Goddess. A day of feminine power, lunar rhythms, menstrual cycles, fertility, creativity, love, and beauty. A day devoted to goddesses like Freya and Venus. A day that honors rebirth, transformation, and sacred feminine energy. There couldn’t have been a more aligned moment to bring this to life.

Fiercely Feminine is a reclamation. A remembering. A rising. It isn’t about fixing yourself. It is about coming home to yourself. It's about embracing the wild, intuitive rhythm that lies within. The quiet, steady power that lives in truth and embodiment.

This entire experience has been a learning curve. On June 9, I published the first version of the author copy. However, I realized yesterday that the margins weren’t justified. The paragraphs weren’t indented (thanks to a conversation with my son). There wasn’t even a table of contents. I had been so focused on the message that I didn’t realize what I didn’t know about formatting.

So I started again. I spent countless hours researching, testing, adjusting, and figuring it out step by step. Looking back, I’m grateful that it wasn’t the first version. In the final few days, I went back into the manuscript one last time. I completed it. I added what was missing. The result was a deeper, more grounded version of the work. When I saw the final word count, 41,114, I knew it was exactly as it was meant to be.

Publishing this way was a bold step (you will understand what that means when you read the book). I didn’t have a professional team behind me. No editors. No designers. No roadmap. Just me, trusting my own voice and vision, and creating something that feels imperfectly perfect. That choice wasn’t just for me. It was for every woman who needs to be reminded that she can take the lead. That she doesn’t have to wait for permission or perfection. That her truth matters, her voice matters, her work matters.

In the personal note at the beginning of the book, I share this clearly. This is the original version. The unedited, unproofread, unfiltered version. Created by me. Designed by me. Written directly from my heart to yours. It is imperfect. It is powerful. It is real.

Once the author copies arrive and I confirm that everything looks exactly how I envisioned, the book will become available to the public.

For now, I’m letting myself feel it all, the pride, the joy, the sacred weight of completion.

She is real. She is whole.

She was born on a day made for the goddess herself. It couldn't be any better. ❤

A Decade of Becoming

This morning, I went searching for something specific on social media, a post I had made, a program I had shared a while ago. It was something I knew I had created in the past, but couldn’t remember when.

What I ultimately found was so much more than I was looking for.
What I found was the beginning of a story that’s been unfolding for a decade. A story I’ve been living, breathing, shaping, and reshaping without even fully realizing it.

Back in 2016, I launched a program called R.O.A.R. It was rooted in helping women understand their relationships with food, with movement, and with the parts of themselves they had pushed to the side while caring for everyone else. It was about habits and patterns, but deeper than that, too. It was about remembering who we are beneath the roles and routines.

Then, in 2020, just before the world turned upside down, I created a workshop called Be Fierce. It was a call to rise, to reconnect, and to find your fire. I remember pouring so much of myself into it, not knowing that the very medicine I was offering others would soon become the same thing I needed myself.

And now, as I stand here today creating Fiercely Feminine, I see it all with fresh eyes. This isn’t a new idea. This isn’t something I randomly decided to develop overnight. This is the evolution of everything I’ve lived through. Everything I’ve learned along the way.

Every course.

Every circle.

Every transformation I’ve witnessed and walked through.

Every chapter of my own healing, growth, and becoming.

This body of work has been a quiet whisper in my soul for TEN years. It has shifted and changed as I have moved and changed. And I think that’s why it feels so alive, because it’s never been stagnant. It’s always been breathing with me. Expanding with me.

This new Fiercely Feminine book and program?

It’s the most honest expression of my truth to date.

It holds the lessons of a decade, but with the clarity that only comes from time, healing, and perspective.

And I know with every fiber of my being that this won’t be the final version.

It will continue to evolve.

Just as I will.

Just as we all do.

For the first time, I can see what this will look like, not just now, but two years from now… five years from now… even ten years from now, because it’s not just a program. It’s a movement. A Sanctuary. A soul call for women who are ready to reclaim their power in a way that is fierce, feminine, grounded, and honest.

To those who have been a part of this story in any way, thank you. Whether you joined ROAR in 2016, attended Be Fierce in 2020, or are just now finding your way into this Sanctuary… you are part of the heartbeat that keeps this work alive.

And to the version of me who stayed with it, who kept creating, kept listening, kept trusting even when the path wasn’t clear, I am so deeply grateful for her.

Great things take time.

And some things…the ones that matter most…take a decade of becoming.

This next season of Fiercely Feminine?

It’s going to be the most impactful one yet.

And I am ready for it.

As I sat in silence at my fire bowl this morning, thinking about all of this, enjoying a cup of coffee in this mug, the following kept running through my thoughts:

“You’re not starting over. You’re starting deeper. Let the decade behind you become the wisdom you rise with.”

Our Sistership Circle gathered at R Connections Life Skills Development for an afternoon of connection, reflection, and deep feminine embodiment.

As we sat in quiet communion with the horses, a powerful soul named Andy slowly made his way over to me. He approached from my left, my feminine side, and gently, yet profoundly, placed his breath on my neck. It wasn’t just a nuzzle. It was a message. A transmission. A mirror.

The facilitator later told me that Andy was working with my throat chakra. That his warm, steady breath was reminding me to trust my voice. To share my message. To stop holding back and to believe in the intuitive gifts I’ve been given.

As he softly mouthed my shoulder, he helped move energy I had unknowingly tucked away…gently encouraging a release. A return. A remembering.

Then he just stood there beside me. For a long time.

Still. Strong. Present.

Holding space like only a wise masculine can, allowing the message to land fully, without force.

What moved me the most was that before we began, we were asked to silently set an intention or ask a question. I never spoke mine aloud. But Andy answered it with soul-deep clarity. And the emotion that rose in me was undeniable.

This work is pure magic. Honest. Unfiltered. Sacred.

Over the past few months, quiet whispers from the divine, the universe, my inner intuition (whatever you want to call it/whatever it is) have been guiding me toward something I can only describe as a sacred shift, a return home to myself.

The signs have been subtle and sometimes bold, but always perfectly timed. In the moments when doubt creeps in or I begin to question the path, another message appears, reminding me to trust, to soften, to listen.

I think these signs were always there, but I was simply too busy… too loud inside to notice. Now, in the stillness I’ve finally made space for, I can hear them clearly. And for the first time in what feels like forever, I’m not just moving through life, I’m living with purpose. Creating from passion. And feeling more aligned than I ever have before.

Today has been nothing short of soul-filling!

It’s incredible what begins to unfold when your feminine energy starts syncing with other women who are vibrating on the same frequency.

This morning, I had the most beautiful and fun conversation with Karey on the podcast, "Wheat Fields, Wisdom & Whiskey" — just two women talking embodiment, the art of becoming, and what it means to truly lead from the feminine. It lit me up!

And then, I spent the afternoon at R Connections Life Skills Development, a stunning facility created by Carrie Ross — where the land, the horses, and the energy feel both wild and deeply sacred. We’re collaborating to create something special for the women I sit in circle with, and on June 1st, we’ll be gathering there for a powerful energy healing experience — not through doing, but through presence, and the quiet wisdom of the horses who witness it all.

But here’s what really gave me goosebumps…

Both of these women today were named Carrie/Karey.

And I don’t believe that was just a coincidence.

It felt serendipitous. Meaningful.

Like a little wink from the Universe that something sacred is being created — something bigger than any one of us.

I’m reminded again that this is what happens when we lead with an open heart. When we stop striving and allow ourselves to simply be.

When we let our feminine power call in the right people, the right timing, the right magic.
