🏈 Vanier Cup Congratulations! 🏆

What an incredible day at Mosaic Stadium for the Vanier Cup! A huge congratulations to the Université de Montréal Carabins on their victory, and hats off to our University of Saskatchewan Huskies on an outstanding season. You made Saskatchewan proud! 💚🤍

Our St. John Ambulance Saskatchewan Medical First Responders were on-site throughout the game, keeping fans safe and providing care when needed. It was a busy day—but a rewarding one!

We even had a few special visitors stop by, including Coach Corey and Howler, the beloved Huskies mascot—who may have needed a little “medical attention” of his own. Good thing those SJA Pet First Aid skills came in handy! 😉🐾

Thank you to everyone who cheered, volunteered, played, and supported this amazing event. Congratulations to both teams on a fantastic game! 💚👏

Last month, St. John Ambulance hosted its inaugural Emergency Management Conference in Calgary. Leaders from our provincial councils, volunteers, and NGO partners came together to strengthen Canada’s emergency response ecosystem and explore new ways to prepare for and respond to crises.

Stories from volunteers on the front lines highlighted the resilience, collaboration, and coordination needed during emergencies. Conversations with our partners focused on improving logistics and enhancing capacity, to better support our communities.

We’re taking these insights forward to make our future responses even more effective. Thank you to all participants and to Public Safety Canada for their support. Together, we’re building a safer, stronger, and more prepared Canada.

Though Remembrance Day has passed, our respect and gratitude for Canada’s veterans and service members remain as strong as ever. Across Saskatchewan, St. John Ambulance volunteers supported local ceremonies, helping communities safely come together to honour the courage, sacrifice, and service of those who have served, and those who continue to serve, for peace and freedom.

Remembrance holds a special place in our organization’s history. From the Knights Hospitaller caring for the sick and wounded during the Crusades, to supporting soldiers on the battlefields of the World Wars, and continuing today, St. John Ambulance has stood alongside those in service and their communities for nearly a thousand years.

These photos show our volunteers from Regina, Saskatoon, Moose Jaw, and the Craik Legion placing wreaths, managing health concerns, and providing quiet support. Our teams are honoured to participate in Remembrance Day ceremonies across Saskatchewan, helping ensure every community can honour veterans with dignity and respect.

To all veterans and those who continue to serve: thank you for your service, your sacrifices, and the freedoms you protect. And to our volunteers: thank you for helping Saskatchewan remember, honour, and uphold the values that make Remembrance Day so meaningful.
