WEEKEND CHALLENGE: Keep a feeling log once in the morning and once in the evening. Noting the feelings that come and go; how long they stay and what changes them. Second, complete this meditation three times over the weekend. Peace and good wishes. Dr. Todd

“When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive — to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.” — Marcus Aurelius, Meditations

You woke up.
That alone is fortune.

Before you complain, remember this:
Millions never opened their eyes today.
You did.

Breathe deeply.
Think clearly.
Act boldly.
Love fiercely.

This day is not owed to you.
It’s a gift.

Don’t waste it.

WEEKEND CHALLENGE: Do the three minute meditation six times over the weekend and acknowledge what's actually going on instead of dwelling on what 'should' be happening. Sometimes that's all we need to transform our experience into something peaceful. -Happy weekend Dr. Todd

Weekend Challenge: First, take 15 minutes to sit down with paper and pen and write out as many 'I LIKE' statements as you can. Start with simple things and then expand. I like coffee...I like pizza...I like my partner.....and so on. Don't stop writing until you fill the page.

Second, take someone out for ice cream and tell them you like them!!! Peace and good weekend wishes. Dr. Todd

WEEKEND CHALLENGE: do one gentle forty minute walk outdoors, complete two ten minute meditations using your favorite app (Plum Village, Insight Timer, etc.) and spend at least one hour doing nothing (with no phone, music or TV)! Slowing down and practicing patience is a wonderful teacher. Enjoy your weekend!!! Peace. Dr. Todd

Happy Mothers Day!

Happy Mothers Day!

Happy Mothers Day! For some of you it's not a good day. Moms are not always good and you may have mom wounds. The media makes mothers day large and special in order to make profits. So today don't feel bad if your mom memories are negative. If that's the case then use mothers day as an opportunity to change. To be kind. To be good to yourself and those around you!

And if mom was good to you then celebrate and practice kindness to those in your life. Either way moms are teachers. They offer knowledge as to who we are and who we choose to become. So good or bad I hope mothers day brings you knowledge and love.

My mom took care of our kids when we needed help and made me the best coffee in the world. She has been gone for a while and I do miss her. But whatever mom means to you know that you are a wonderful creation. Very worthy of love!

Peace and good wishes. Dr. Todd
