Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) is a skills-based approach that helps us recognize that two seemingly opposite things can both be true at the same time. Does that sound like something you and your youth may be navigating? You’re not alone.
I’d like to invite you to a four-week DBT skills group for approximately 10 families, designed to learn and practice the DBT model together. This group will support both caregivers and youth to better understand behaviors, build acceptance, and create meaningful change.
Group Details:
Duration: 4 weeks (attendance at all sessions is required)
Participants: Youth and an adult caregiver attend together
When: Tuesdays, starting February 27
March 3, 10, and 17
We will focus on the following DBT skills:
Distress Tolerance – learning how to navigate emotional pain
Emotional Regulation – recognizing, understanding, accepting, and managing emotional responses
Mindfulness – increasing awareness of thoughts and feelings
Interpersonal Effectiveness – communicating needs and boundaries effectively
Cost: $300
I never want cost to be a barrier to accessing support. Please contact me directly to discuss financial options.
