This afternoon, we held a celebratory event to commemorate our July birthdays and anniversaries. 🎂💒 Over 30 birthdays and 8 anniversaries were recognized, including a notable 71-year marriage. Each couple is presented with a plant from Wascana Flower Shoppe and every birthday for the month is put into a draw for a bouquet and of course cupakes for all! 💐

Residents of The Claremont Retirement Residence in Toronto gathered for a refreshing afternoon of indulgence and entertainment at the residence's Ice Cream & Strawberry Cocktail Social. The lounge was transformed into a cozy summer retreat, complete with chilled cocktails, sweet treats, and the smooth sounds of live music.

Friendly reminder we have our community walking around our building so please drive 10km/hour throughout our parking lot as well as reserving the front door area for emergency vehicles only— do not leave your car parked or unattended in our front bay.

Residents at Venvi Churchill Place were treated to a tasty presentation from a local student entrepreneur. Charlotte, a 15-year-old with a passion for baking, started her business, Grain & Loaf Co, to showcase that healthy can also mean delicious. Specializing in whole grain, good for you baked items, Charlotte is dedicated to bringing fresh, locally sourced, and handcrafted goods to customers.

Joined by her mother and grandmother, Charlotte brought her baked scones, muffins, and challah bread to share with residents, who were inspired by her energy and passion. She shared her story, recounting how she had taught herself to bake through trial and error, experimenting with healthier ingredients to make her treats more nutritious without sacrificing taste.

By the end of the presentation, Charlotte not only shared her delicious baked goods but also forged connections bridging generations through the joy of baking.

The Bentley Regina recently celebrated their grand re-opening after months of renovations. Residents were joined by Regina’s Mayor, Chad Bachynski, and other members of the community who were able to enjoy the inviting new spaces. The residence features an ode to The Capitol Theatre and an all-new pub called The Honking Goose Tavern. Guests had the opportunity to sample the Pension Plan Pilsner, a collaboration with The Bentley Regina and Pile O Bones Brewery located in Regina - a true Saskatchewan beer. Residents at Portsmouth retirement residence demonstrated exceptional generosity and community spirit by swiftly raising $700 to aid fire evacuees in Manitoba during a critical state of emergency. Armed with these funds, the Active Living Manager and three of Portsmouth's most enthusiastic shoppers embarked on a mission to Dollarama and Walmart. There, they purchased essential supplies ranging from hygiene products, diapers, and wipes to toiletries, small toys, craft supplies, and individually packaged snacks. Way to go, Portsmouth!
