For some people, being outside makes it easier to open up, move through tough conversations, or simply feel more at ease. These sessions still offer the same professional support, just in a natural setting instead of an office.

Itโ€™s often part of a rehab plan for things like neck and back pain, headaches or ongoing muscle tension. IMS is offered at Keystone Health by Michele S***a, Emma and Shannon!

๐—”๐—ฐ๐˜‚๐—ฝ๐˜‚๐—ป๐—ฐ๐˜๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ฒ is based on acupuncture points from Traditional Chinese Medicine, which are commonly very close to a nerve or motor point of a muscle and focuses on resetting the nervous system back to its regular action potential. Itโ€™s commonly used for pain management. Once the pain has been diminished or removed, people can direct focus on other aspects of their treatment plan, such as strength and conditioning. Acupuncture is offered at Keystone Health by Michele and Fraser.

Keystone Health is excited to share that Clora Quinlan-Thompson is stepping into a new role as our Personal Trainer!

Clora has been part of the Keystone community for the past year, and we are thrilled to now offer her training services to our members.
Clora holds a Bachelor of Science with a major in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Otago in New Zealand and is a certified Level 2 and 3 Personal Trainer.

Clora takes a personalized and friendly approach to training, working closely with clients to understand their individual goals, needs, and preferences. She is passionate about helping people gain confidence through exercise, build strength, and develop sustainable movement habits that fit into their lives.

Outside of the gym, Clora loves spending time outdoors. You will often find her skiing, mountain biking, or trail running when she is not working with clients.

๐Ÿ‘‰Boots: Snug, supportive, and appropriate for your ability. Loose boots lead to poor control and overworked knees and ankles
๐Ÿ‘‰Bindings: Correctly adjusted for your height, weight, and skill level. Improper release settings increase injury risk
๐Ÿ‘‰Helmet: Proper fit with no movement when you shake your head. Replace after any significant impact.

Check out our newest toy: the FlyWheel or eccentric loader!

This machine works a myriad of muscles but the really cool thing is it increases load on the negative as you move downwards.

Studies have shown that working on this form of force (eccentric loading) can help you slam on the breaks when skiing or riding, and protect your body when landing jumps, be that skiing, biking or moto sports! Itโ€™s great for rehabbing injuries and strengthening muscles to prevent injuries too. Pretty darn neat we have to say.

Recovery days are not time off! Without adequate recovery, repeated training or riding stress can lead to chronic strain injuries. These often build slowly and are easy to ignore until performance drops or pain becomes constant.
