This Easter morning comes quietly here… freezing rain falling, snow still covering the ground.

And yet… in the barn, there is new life.

Tiny chicks, soft and fragile, reminding me that life doesn’t wait for perfect conditions to begin again. 🐣

That feels like Easter.

Not always sunshine and blooming flowers… but faith in the middle of the cold, hope when things still feel frozen, and the quiet promise that new life is already here.

Today I’m holding close what matters most... family, friends, faith, and love.

He is risen… and with Him, hope lives on. šŸ¤

Wishing you a peaceful and blessed Easter Sunday.

9 little fluffballs are ready to find their next home šŸ’›šŸ£

These chicks hatched March 30th and are off to a great start—bright, active, and already full of personality.

At this stage they are unsexed, so they’ll be a bit of a surprise as they grow (part of the fun, if you ask me 😊).

If you’ve been thinking about adding to your flock this spring, this is a lovely little group to start with.

Send me a message if you’re interested 🌿

It’s my birthday month… and I felt called to share a little something in return šŸ¤

For the month of April, I’m offering 10% off any farm visit or gathering booked this month, for any date throughout the year.

Whether it’s a quiet visit with the animals, a special gathering, or having the farm travel to you… if it’s booked before April ends, the discount will be honoured whenever you choose to come.

Just a small way of saying thank you for being here, for supporting this space, and for walking alongside this journey with me 🌿

(Please note: this doesn’t apply to events where outside instructors are brought in, such as yoga or sound offerings.)

If you’ve been thinking about coming out… this might be your nudge šŸ’«

The last couple of days have felt a little quieter… in a good way.

I didn’t try to catch everything or share it all. Just a few small moments, taken as they came.

The rhythm of chores, the sound of the wind, the feeling of being here.

Sometimes that’s enough.

I’ll share more when it feels right. For now, just easing back into things 🌿

I’ve been a little quiet here lately.

Some seasons are easier to share… and some aren’t. Lately, it’s been one where I’ve needed to step back... from social media, from the noise... and just tend to what’s right in front of me.

There’s been a lot happening behind the scenes. Some beautiful, some heavy, some just… life. And I haven’t really had the words for it. Or maybe I just didn’t have the energy to try.

So I gave myself permission to be quiet for a bit.

The farm is still here. The days are still moving. The work is still being done… just without the camera in my hand.

I’m slowly finding my way back, in my own time.

And maybe that’s part of what šŸŒ™šŸ”„ Embers & Earthlight: Evening Bonfire at the Farm šŸ”„šŸŒ™ is about too… slowing down, gathering in a softer way, sitting in the glow of things without needing to explain them.

Thank you for being here, even in the quiet šŸ¤

Our province has just lost all provincial veterinary care for horses and livestock. This is more than a budget cut — it directly affects farmers, animal welfare, and the stability of our food supply.

If this concerns you, please consider reaching out to our provincial leaders. The more voices they hear from, the clearer it becomes that this issue matters to the people of New Brunswick.

When writing or emailing, it can be helpful to focus on one specific concern or question per message. Multiple messages from citizens help demonstrate the depth of concern surrounding this decision.

Happy St. Paddy’s Day from the farm ā˜˜ļø

We’re trying to figure out who around here might be hiding the pot of gold…

The goats look suspicious.
But honestly… the chickens can’t be trusted either.

So tell me…

Who do you think is the real troublemaker today?

Cast iron. Yay or nay?

I've been using cast iron for at least a decade now. I started with just 1 pan, but have been slowly adding to my collection.

I love that they are indestructible and easy to care for, and also that they go from stovetop, to oven, to table without fuss.

And... Because they hold heat, your burner doesn't need to be nearly as high, and it will hold your food warm once on the table.
