Eid is a time to celebrate, spend time with family, and enjoy good food.

But after a few days of changed routines, travel, and long periods of sitting, many people start to notice stiffness, tightness, or low energy.

This is completely normal.

Getting back into light movement, stretching, and proper mobility can help your body reset and feel better again.

If your body still feels off, don’t ignore it.
Sometimes a proper assessment and treatment can help you recover faster and move comfortably again.

Dynamic warm-ups help prepare your body for movement before exercise.

Crossover jumping jacks are a great full-body movement that increase your heart rate, improve coordination, and activate multiple muscle groups at once.

Adding simple dynamic exercises like this to your routine helps improve circulation, wake up your muscles, and prepare your joints for activity.

Taking a few minutes to warm up properly can help your body move better and reduce the risk of injury.

We are officially heading into the mid-month stretch of Ramadan, Richmond Hill! 🌙✨

By now, many of you have mentioned feeling increased pressure in your lower back or knees during Taraweeh. Standing for extended periods, especially on harder surfaces, can cause your lumbar spine to compress and your muscles to fatigue.

The 16th Ave "Prayer Care" Checklist:

1. Distribute Your Weight: Avoid locking your knees while standing. Keep a micro-bend to engage your core and take the pressure off your joints.

2. The 30-Second Reset: Between Rakat, gently roll your shoulders back and do a few calf raises to keep the blood flowing.

3. Firm Foundation: If you’re praying at home, ensure your prayer mat is on a rug or padded surface to absorb the impact on your ankles and knees.

Don’t let physical discomfort distract you from your spiritual goals. If the stiffness is lingering, a quick adjustment can reset your alignment and boost your energy for the rest of the month. 🕊️

Did you know that the first week of Ramadan is often the hardest on your spine? 🧐🌙

Between changed sleep cycles, longer standing periods for prayer, and shifts in hydration, your body is working overtime to adapt. If you’re feeling extra "heavy" or stiff this Monday, it’s likely mechanical tension in your lumbar or cervical spine.

3 Ways we help you through the month:

Taraweeh Prep: Adjustments to help you stand comfortably for longer.

Headache Management: Easing neck tension often caused by dehydration/caffeine withdrawal.

Mobility Coaching: Gentle stretches you can do between Iftar and Suhoor.

Don't push through the pain—reset your body so you can focus on what matters most this month. 🕊️
