💫 One of the biggest misconceptions moms talk about is that they’re worried that their milk won’t be enough for their babies when their mature milk comes on day 3-5.
💫 And when moms’ milk comes in, the more baby breastfeeds, the more milk will be produced!
💫 When a baby is just born, they are just getting used to the bright outside world, away from the warmth of their mommy’s womb. So it’s going to take them some time to get the hang of latching, suckling to full feeding, and both mom and baby are learning ☺️
💫 Baby’s first milk is called colostrum, which is a thick, yellow nutrient-rich liquid, high in protein and low in fat and sugar. It is has antibodies that strengthen your baby’s immune system. A small amount goes a long way because it’s nutrient-dense.
💫 There’s a reason why it’s called Liquid Gold, because of all the amazing benefits for baby! And having that skin-to-skin during that “golden hour” after baby is born will help with this too!
