🪥 Keeping your oral utensils clean is just as important as brushing your teeth 🌿

Today I’m making a simple natural disinfecting soak for oral tools using only 3 ingredients:

✨ Baking soda
✨ Hydrogen peroxide (always use 3% food grade)
✨ Filtered water

This easy mixture helps support a cleaner oral environment by reducing buildup that can collect on your toothbrushes, tongue scrapers, retainers, and other oral utensils.

💧 Why these ingredients?
• Baking soda helps neutralize odors and buildup
• 3% hydrogen peroxide helps cleanse and disinfect naturally
• Filtered water keeps the mixture clean and gentle

Simply soak your oral utensils in the mixture and replace it every 2–3 days. That’s personally what I do as a dental practitioner to help maintain cleaner oral tools.

Healthy oral care is not just about your teeth — it’s also about the tools you use every day 💜

🌿 Black seed oil has been used for centuries as a powerful natural remedy, and it can also be a beautiful addition to your oral care routine.

I personally love using black seed oil for oil pulling and natural mouth rinsing because it helps support a healthier oral environment while keeping the mouth feeling balanced and refreshed. 💜

✨ Benefits of black seed oil for oral health:
• Supports the oral microbiome
• Helps freshen breath naturally
• Contains natural antibacterial properties
• Supports gum health
• Helps maintain a balanced mouth environment

I often use it as part of my oil pulling routine instead of conventional mouthwash. A clean, natural approach can make a huge difference in your overall oral health.

The black seed oil I’m currently using is from Plump 🌿

Remember, oral care should support your body, not disrupt it.

🪥 Did you know mold, fungus, and bacteria can build up on your electric toothbrush? 👀

Your toothbrush is constantly exposed to moisture, making it the perfect environment for bacteria and fungus to grow if it’s not cleaned properly.

Over time, buildup can collect on the brush head and transfer back into your mouth through saliva and daily use.

Simple habits can help keep your oral tools cleaner 🌿
✨ Allow your toothbrush to dry fully
✨ Replace brush heads regularly
✨ Soak your toothbrush head in a natural mix of water, baking soda, and peroxide

Healthy oral care is not just about brushing your teeth — it’s also about keeping the tools you use clean and balanced. 💜

🪥 Can mold, fungus, and bacteria build up on your oral utensils?
Yes… absolutely.

Your toothbrush, tongue scraper, floss containers, and other oral tools are constantly exposed to moisture. Damp environments allow mold, fungus, and bacteria to grow and multiply quickly.

And remember whatever sits on your oral utensils can easily transfer into your mouth and body through saliva and breathing.

The good news? Keeping your utensils clean is simple 🌿

✨ Try this natural cleaning mix:
• Water
• Baking soda
• Peroxide

Soak your oral tools regularly to help keep them clean, fresh, and disinfected naturally.

Healthy oral habits go beyond brushing your teeth they also include keeping your tools clean.

Watch out for my next video where I show exactly how I make this simple cleansing solution 💜

🦷 Are You Flossing the Right Way?

I just finished brushing my teeth and now I’m going in with floss. I personally like to brush first to remove most of the buildup, then use floss to fine-tune and clean where the brush can’t reach. But whether you floss before or after brushing, consistency matters most.

The key is not just flossing… it’s how you floss.

Floss should gently go into the sulcus, the space between your tooth and gum tissue. That’s where bacteria, food, and buildup collect. Simply moving floss up and down on the surface isn’t enough.

✨ Proper technique:
• Guide the floss gently between the tooth and gum
• Curve it around the tooth
• Slide it slightly under the gum line
• Clean both sides before moving on

This is how you actually remove what’s hiding below the surface and support healthy gums.

Today I’m using our Hale Wellness floss, made from charcoal and cornhusk, designed to be clean, effective, and biocompatible 🌿

Small habits, done correctly, make the biggest difference 💜

🦷 Flossing & Heart Health… Let’s Clear the Confusion

There’s a lot of viral content going around saying flossing can cause heart disease. Let’s take a step back and understand what’s actually happening.

Yes, there is a connection between gum disease and heart health. Harmful bacteria in the mouth can enter the bloodstream and affect the body. But this is not caused by flossing — it’s caused by unmanaged oral bacteria and inflammation.

Flossing is meant to gently clean the space between your teeth and gums, helping remove buildup where your toothbrush can’t reach. When done correctly, it actually supports gum health and reduces harmful bacteria.

The concern only comes in when flossing is done aggressively, causing trauma to the tissues. Gentle, consistent technique is key.

🌿 The real focus should be:
• Keeping your oral microbiome balanced
• Reducing inflammation
• Maintaining proper daily hygiene
• Supporting your immune system

Flossing isn’t the problem.
Ignoring your gum health is.

If you’re unsure about your technique or want to better understand your oral health, we’re here to guide you. 💜

Perimenopause, Menopause & Your Dental Health 🦷

Yes, there is a real connection between hormonal changes and oral health. During perimenopause and menopause, shifts in hormones can affect the gums, saliva, and overall balance in the mouth.

Some common symptoms you may notice:
• Inflammation
• Excess bleeding gums
• Sensitivity
• Higher risk of cavities
• Changes in oral comfort

What can help? Supporting your body and staying consistent with oral care.

✨ Focus on:
• Healthy vitamin D levels
• Plenty of vitamin C rich vegetables and fruits
• Strong daily oral hygiene habits

🌿 Daily habits that support balance:
• Flossing
• Brushing
• Salt water rinses
• Peroxide water rinses
• Oil pulling

Hormonal changes do not mean you have to accept declining oral health. With the right support, you can protect your smile through every stage of life. 💜

If you feel your hormones may be affecting your oral health, we’re here to help.
