The war in Ukraine is a threat to the lives and well-being of the country's citizens including the 7.5 million children.

For every new premium member we receive, CSEHP will donate $40 (for Optometry members) and $30 (for Opticianry/Optometric Assistant members) to the Ukrainian Red Cross Society.

The Ukrainian Red Cross Society is a non-profit humanitarian and charitable association of Ukraine. It operates in disaster management, health and care, tracing service, youth activities/volunteers, and activities related to the protection of human dignity.

The Academy of Ophthalmic Education will be also donating for every on-demand subscriber they receive. More details can be found at https://www.aoece.com/support-ukraine

CSEHP is proud to share that we completed our first parent/teacher information session in February of 2022. We want to especially thank Dr. Patrick Quaid for volunteering his time and knowledge to help educate parents and teachers of Unionville Montessori School on the topics of concussion and learning as they relate to vision.

Projects such as this are part of CSEHP’s greater mission to raise awareness of the importance and impact proper vision care.

Since our inception in 2006, these last two years have been the most challenging. It feels like an eternity ago when we had planned the 2020 Eye Ball in partnership with UHN. It was our hopes to be our greatest fundraiser yet. Then COVID hit and everything changed. We changed our priorities so we could help provide free CE to students during the pandemic, source PPE for ECPs in the early days of the pandemic, fundraise for students who were struggling financially and try to share updates and tips to help the eye care community. Though the pandemic is far from over, it was time that we took a look at ourselves and made sure we were keeping our mission and vision in focus. With that in mind, we redeveloped our website (https://csehp.ca), started some additional social media accounts and included a number of new services and initiatives. Over 2022, we will share more of these exciting things with you. We have much more to do but for now, we just wanted to say thank you for supporting us and supporting the eye care industry during these difficult times.
