Something new is coming to Neurocore Physiotherapy… ✨

Introducing the Neurocore Movement Lab Series 🧠
Each “Movement Lab” will have a unique theme. At the core of each session, we will foster community, connection and a collective effort to move and heal.

Think of movement as…
🌿 Movement of the body
💨 Movement of breath
❤️ Movement of emotions
🧠 Movement of the nervous system
🎵 Movement through rhythm, music & flow
🤝 Movement through connection
👨👩👧 Moving with your child or loved one
🌊 Movement through play, curiosity & exploration
✨ Movement toward confidence, possibility and healing

Because "Change happens through movement… and movement heals". (Joseph Pilates)

🚀 Sessions + dates coming soon… stay tuned!

Who would have thought that an informal Tuesday night education session about body weight support treadmill training & eating Shawarmas after a full day of clinical work would put this many smiles on therapists faces? 😄

Grateful for our team and the culture of learning we continue to build together.
Moments like these remind us how fortunate we are to work alongside people who are curious, generous with their knowledge, & committed to growing together for the benefit of our clients.💛💪🏼

At Neurocore, collaboration is everything 🤝

We’re proud to be working alongside Back2Feet to ensure our clients receive the most comprehensive care possible. When partnering with an orthotist, it’s all about the details:

👟 Reviewing existing and new footwear
🚶‍♂️ Reassessing gait again… and again (because progress is in the fine-tuning!)
🔄 Updating the PL brace to keep support aligned with changing needs
😂 And of course, making time to laugh along the way

Teamwork means better outcomes, better movement, and better support for every step forward.👏🏼

A scar isn’t just a mark on the skin ✨

Your body works as one connected system — skin, nerves, muscles, and fascia all communicate 🧠💫

When a scar changes that message, the brain may adapt movement elsewhere.

An abdominal scar can affect breathing or back support 🌬️

A knee scar can influence the hip or low back 🦵➡️🦴

A shoulder or chest scar can impact the neck 💪➡️🧍‍♂️

So symptoms don’t always show up where the scar is.
That’s why we don’t just treat where it hurts 🎯

Movement is connected. So is healing 🤝

When scar mobility and sensory input are addressed, movement often improves 🔄✨

At , we use Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT) to identify how scars affect muscle activation and to guide treatment and home techniques 🧩💆‍♂️

Big thank you to .huangfu for reviewing how to scan our clients’ visual systems and reinforcing the importance of integrating vision into physiotherapy to improve balance, movement, and coordination. 👀💪🏼

It’s increasingly common for physiotherapists to assess visual function, interpret findings, support clients through targeted strategies, and know when to refer to appropriate medical professionals. As a Physiotherapist, Fascial Stretch Therapist & Movement Educator, MQ’s guidance & experience helps strengthen our skills and clinical reasoning in this area. 💙👀👐🏼

Key takeaways from our education session on Vision Therapy & Physiotherapy:

✅ Your eyes are an extension of your brain — made from the same tissue and part of the central nervous system. 🧠

✅ 80% of movement input comes from vision — depth, distance, and motion guide balance; closing your eyes often reduces stability.

✅ Peripheral vision keeps you safe — central vision is for detail, peripheral vision is for awareness and quicker reactions.👁️⚡

✅ Posture and vision influence each other — slouching strains eye alignment; vision issues can shift head and neck posture.

✅ Brock string trains eye teamwork — improving depth perception and movement confidence.👏🏼

✅ Eye exercises can “wake up” your core — activating the visual, neck, and balance systems to steady the trunk and enhance coordination.🔥
