With the news about microplastics in tea bags making the rounds, I had to seriously rethink the types of tea that I consume daily. It turns out that a lot of paper tea bags are still sealed with plastic! 😩 Thank you for sharing your helpful info!

🍵 As an avid tea (and non-coffee) drinker, loose leaf was always my first choice, but things change as a working mom of two young kids - tea bags sure were convenient for my daily dose of caffeine. But I'm not going to trade my own health for convenience 🙅, so it's back to 🍃 loose leaf tea for me! I still have one problem though...I still wish on most days that I can get to that cup of steeped tea while it's still lukewarm (and not sitting on the counter steeping for 4 hours)! 🤷

Nothing beats outdoor family time and a chance to soak in what's left of our summer sunshine! 🌞

👶 Baby update! Introducing our sweet little addition, baby Leah! She arrived on April 29th weighing 6 lbs 13 oz. Our family is adjusting well, especially big brother Owen who volunteers to help with diaper changes! ☺️ Thank you for all your love and wishes! 💕

Today marks my last day of work before🤰maternity leave! I'm very grateful to have Dr. Juliana Rosario Yeung, ND👩‍⚕️help cover my practice at Bayview North Family Chiropractic and take care of my patients while I'm away. Thank you so much to all my patients and colleagues for your well wishes and generous gifts! I'll post updates once baby girl arrives! 👶

IMPORTANT: As of June 1, 2015 naturopathic doctors will undergo changes to our regulations that will impact the ability to run lab tests as well as provide injectable vitamins and high dose nutrients. In doing so, our scope to treat patients properly as a registered physician is greatly reduced and thus will impact our ability to provide patients with the healthcare they deserve.

Tests commonly ordered by naturopathic doctors, including: food allergy testing, stool samples, salivary hormones, DNA testing or other tests not always provided by your medical doctors will no longer be permitted under the new act.

Our training has been based on scientific and best evidence based research. This approach fundamentally involves using lab testing as a diagnostic tool, measure of efficacy and means to confirm patient safety.
