September Self-Care Challenge ✨

After the Labour Day long weekend, many of us pick up our daily routines again, whether that be returning to work after holidays or returning to the rhythm of having the kids back in school. During this transition, it’s easy to put our own well-being on the back burner as schedules get busier and routines shift. And, if we’re not listening, suddenly, our bodies let us know that they’re not getting what they need with increased tension in the shoulders from long days at the desk, stiffness or lingering aches from summer activities, stress or low energy as we juggle tasks, or a dip in immunity.

This is a gentle reminder to choose one wellness practice this week that helps you feel grounded and supported. Some simple ideas could be:

🌿 Taking 5 minutes to tune into your breath, deepening it, if needed 
🌿 A mini stretch or movement break between meetings
🌿 Booking a massage or acupuncture session you’ve been putting off

Some of our Favourite Tips for Getting a Massage in the Summer Heat 🌞

1. Stay Hydrated Before & After
The heat + massage = fluid loss. Drink water before your session and have extra afterward to stay balanced and support your body’s detox process. 💧

2. Avoid Heavy Meals Pre-Massage
Hot weather can already slow digestion. Keep your stomach light before your session for greater comfort and relaxation. 🍃

3. Arrive Cool
If you’ve been in the sun or exercising, give your body 15–20 minutes to cool down before your session. Overheating can make it harder to relax and regulate body temperature. ☀️😅
