Often, we feel we want to do this, that and a few more this and that's on a list, till it just keeps piling on. We overestimate our capacity of how much is enough to carry or manage. Suddenly feeling overwhelmed with the weight of everything that we have taken on. This could be responsibilities, work, taking on others emotional burdens, traumas and making them our own. Sometimes we notice the overwhelm when things become too much for us to manage, yet are incapable of relieving some of these burdens. At other times, we just start crumbling under the pressure of these burdens without even realizing or noticing the overwhelm.
A lot of times we continue to wade through due to societal, cultural, familial expectations from us. On top of this are the expectations that we have put on ourselves. And we want to try and prove to ourselves and others that we can.
It's okay to realize the burden at any point in your journey. It is okay to unburden some responsibilities, other's experiences off your shoulders, so you can better access your own experiences, manage your own priorities, work on your own emotions, trauma experiences.
It's easy to choose others over you. It's that much harder to choose yourself. Let's make a start. Only you can choose and work on the things in your jar (from the stress pictoral). It's okay to say no. It's okay to choose your priorities. It is okay to choose yourself. It's okay to make yourself a priority in your life.

All the 3 pictures resonate with me, therefore I have shared them (you can see the authors on each of the pages) and penned down a few of my thoughts with those.
