Have you ever wondered about the difference between a CT scan and an MRI scan?

CT scans are often used in emergencies to help physicians quickly assess a patient’s condition, and they are especially useful for imaging denser structures such as bones and lungs. MRI, on the other hand, provides more detailed imaging of soft tissues and is often used for follow-up scans.

With two new CT scanners and a new MRI at Richmond Hospital, patients can receive faster diagnoses, clearer imaging, and a more reassuring care experience.

Their donation will help bring advanced medical equipment and technology to Richmond Hospital’s new acute care tower, supporting improved, more efficient care for patients and families in the community.
