Central Hearing Clinic has updated the way we serve your hearing needs.

We are working hard to balance meeting your hearing needs with respecting the guidelines recommended by the BC Centre for Disease Control and Vancouver Coastal Health. We are taking the utmost in sanitization precautions and procedures and have put the following policies in place to ensure our patients are safe when they come into our clinic:

1. Temperature checks for visitors using a touchless infrared thermometer. Visitors with temperatures at or above 37.8 C or showing symptoms of COVID-19 would be advised to return home and reschedule.

2. Pre-screening visitors prior to their appointments to ensure they are low risk and not experiencing viral symptoms.

3. Visitors must wear a surgical/procedure mask during the entire duration of their visit to the clinic.

4. Visitors are required to sanitize their hands when entering the clinic. Hand sanitizer dispensers are provided for guests to sanitize hands.

5. All surfaces and equipment are disinfected before and after each patient. All high-traffic area touchpoints within the clinic are disinfected throughout the day, plus deep cleans at the end of day.

6. In keeping with the provincial health officer’s recommendations for physical distancing, we are limiting one person (caregiver, family member or support person helping with language barrier) to come with the patient to an appointment.

We are continuing to monitor events and are continuously updating our policies and protocols related to COVID-19. The well-being of our patients and staff is our top priority. We look forward to serving you.

COVID-19 UPDATE:
To support the delivery of our essential services to clients we remain open to serve those who need our care. However we are adapting our company policy given COIVD-19 and are only taking appointments made by phone or online. Our available appointment hours are 9:00 am to 4:30pm local time.

We understand the increased concerns of the COVID-19 virus, and we want to let you know that the well being and safety of our clients and employees is our top priority. We continue to follow all provincial and federal health agency directions and adjust our operations accordingly.

Supporting Canadians’ hearing needs is still our goal, while co-coordinating efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19. We want to assure you that, as a health care provider, we have an elevated level of hygiene and sanitization practices in our clinics and we are also taking further precautions to keep our clients and staff safe.

We wish you a very happy holiday season, and a healthy, and prosperous 2020. This past year has been a busy one for us, which was accomplished as a result of your ongoing support and commitment. We want to sincerely thank you for everything you have done to make this past year a success, and look forward to continuing to serve you in the coming year and beyond.

Our clinic will be closed from Monday, December 23rd, 2019 to Wednesday, January 3rd, 2020, reopening at 9:00am on Monday, January 5th, 2020.
