Starting Sunday, March 8, 2026, clocks across British Columbia will spring forward one final time before the province transitions to permanent, year-round Daylight Saving Time.
After this change, the traditional fall time shift scheduled for November 1, 2026 will no longer happen. Instead, B.C. will remain on the same time year-round, giving residents and businesses eight months to prepare for the permanent transition.
The goal of eliminating the twice-a-year clock change is to make life a little simpler—reducing disruptions for families, making scheduling easier for businesses, and providing more daylight in the evenings during the winter months.
Fewer clock changes.
More consistent schedules.
And brighter winter evenings for communities across the province.
