ANVH EP-80 Silent killer - tumor rupture 沉默的殺手 - 腫瘤破裂
Over the past few weeks, A Niu has handled three emergency surgeries caused by ruptured tumors — two in the spleen and one in the liver. All three were senior dogs over 10 years old.
Their owners said the same thing: “They were totally fine… then suddenly collapsed.”
When they arrived, the dogs had low blood pressure, pale gums, and signs of internal bleeding.
Ultrasound scans revealed large abdominal masses with active hemorrhage.
These are true life‑or‑death moments. Surgery has to happen
immediately to find the bleeding source and remove the tumor if possible. But not every patient is fortunate enough to make it through such a critical event.
Afterward, many owners ask how they can prevent this from happening. The honest answer is: regular health check‑ups.
Tumors don’t grow big or rupture overnight. By the time symptoms appear, the tumor has usually been developing silently for months.
Prevention will always be better than emergency treatment.
If your dog or cat shows signs like weight loss, a growing belly, pale gums, or sudden collapse, please seek your family vet right away.

阿牛在這幾周內接到了3例腫瘤破裂的緊急手術,2例是脾臟1例是肝臟,都是年>10歲的老狗,主訴都是本來好好的,突然倒下站不起來(血壓低),黏膜蒼白(內出血),所以送來醫院
經檢查後發現腹腔有大的團塊,經超音波確診為腫瘤+內出血
這是和死神拔河的緊急手術,必須馬上開刀找到出血點跟評估腫瘤摘除,但不是每個病患都這麼幸運地可以被搶救回來
術後主人問該怎麼樣可以避免這個狀況? 我想了想只有定期的健康檢查才有辦法預防,腫瘤不會一夕之間長到這麼大或者馬上破裂,要到發生臨床症狀了通常都要至少幾個月以上的時間,只能說預防甚於治療
如果你的貓狗有類似的症狀(體重下降,腹圍變大,黏膜蒼白,無法站例等等),請盡速就醫
