🎀 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🎀

Breast cancer touches the lives of too many families across British Columbia and beyond. This month, we stand in solidarity with those who are fighting, honour those we have lost, and support survivors who inspire us every day.

Early detection saves lives—please take time to learn the signs, book regular screenings, and encourage your loved ones to do the same. Together, we can raise awareness, reduce stigma, and strengthen community support.

💗 From all of us at APBC, we extend our compassion and commitment to health and wellness for our members and the communities we serve.

🧡 National Day for Truth and Reconciliation 🧡

Today we pause to honour Survivors, their families, and communities impacted by residential schools. We remember the children who never came home, and we acknowledge the truth of this history that continues to affect generations.

As paramedics, we walk alongside Indigenous patients, families, and Nations every day. We carry with us the responsibility to listen, learn, and build trust so that care is rooted in respect and understanding.

Reconciliation is not just a word—it’s ongoing action. On this day, and every day, we commit to learning, to reflecting, and to standing with Indigenous Peoples in the journey toward healing.

On this day, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honour the bravery of the first responders who ran toward danger to save others.

As paramedics, we stand in solidarity with our colleagues across borders, recognizing the sacrifice, courage, and resilience shown that day. We will never forget.
