We’re excited to welcome a new session of our Fit for Life 60+ program, designed to help older adults move with confidence, strength, and independence in everyday life. Whether you’re just getting started with exercise or ready to take things to the next level, we have two levels of small-group classes led by a registered physiotherapist — ensuring a safe, supportive, and personalized experience every step of the way.

🥇 Level 1: Intro to Functional Strength Training

Perfect for adults 60+ who are new to fitness, recovering from injury, or managing conditions like osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, or joint replacements.

Focuses on:
✅ Building balance, agility, and functional strength
✅ Improving mobility and reducing fall risk
✅ Supporting independence in daily life

With a maximum of 8 participants, you’ll receive individualized attention and exercises tailored to your needs and abilities — all in a welcoming and encouraging environment.

Designed for those who have some exercise experience and are ready to safely progress. (Level 1 is not required, but participants should be comfortable with basic movement patterns.)

You’ll build strength, power, and endurance through:

✅ Functional conditioning drills
✅ Progressive exercises to enhance confidence and resilience

Led by a physiotherapist in a smaller group (max 6), this level offers more individual coaching and a focused environment to help you continue moving well for life.

📅 Tuesdays 1:30–2:30 PM & Fridays 1:15 - 2:15 PM

🌟 Meet Linda Calvert, BSc, BScPT – now at our Steveston location and accepting new patients! 🌟

Linda is a highly experienced physiotherapist with over 20 years of clinical practice, dedicated to helping people move better and feel better. Growing up in Richmond, she was a multisport athlete—competing provincially in basketball with Team BC, and playing soccer, volleyball, and softball. Her own sports injuries inspired her early passion for physiotherapy, and that athletic background continues to inform her approach to care today.

Linda’s expertise spans musculoskeletal, orthopedic, and sports physiotherapy, and she takes a whole-body, movement-based approach to treatment. She identifies non-optimal movement patterns and retrains the body to move more efficiently, using techniques from Connect Therapy™, Clinical Pilates, neural manipulation, and the Integrated Systems Model (ISM).

She has a special focus on throwing and overhead athletes, helping them optimize performance, reduce injury risk, and return to sport with confidence. Linda is also highly skilled in vestibular rehabilitation and concussion management, bringing both personal experience and clinical expertise to help patients improve balance, stability, and confidence in daily life.
