What a fantastic day for our Chinese Support Group (CSG) annual picnic at South Arm Park in Richmond! ☀️ We were thrilled to see over 80 members come together, reconnect, play games, and share so many smiles and laughs. It was truly a joy-filled reunion!

A huge thank you to our incredible volunteers who poured their time, money, and energy into organizing and preparing this wonderful event. Your dedication made it all possible! And a special welcome to all our new members who joined us for their very first picnic – we're so glad you're part of our community.

Thank you to everyone for your continued support! We can't wait to see you all again soon.

On Monday, July 14th Angela Godber, Employment and Community
Studies (EACS) Program instructor from Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) came to
tell us about this program offered by their Faculty of Academic and Career Preparation.

The program is for students with diverse learning needs and aims to help the students
prepare for lifelong learning, employment and community engagement opportunities.

Completion of the EACS Program leads to a citation in Employment and Community Studies
at KPU.

Credit courses include: Employability Skills, Career Exploration, Work Experience, Introduction
to Disability Rights and Societal Justice in Action.

Empowering Guitar: Comradeship for Inclusivity - On Monday, July 14th

RCD was lucky to have Speech-Language Pathologist, come to play many songs using the Bunne Guitar.

** Summer Wellness at the Market
The first session of our summer program was a great success on July 8, 2025.
The movement class was a great way to get the day started. If you are in the area on Tuesdays come by and try a class, tarp wellness with our staff and check out our end of the work day stress reduction session.

Through RCD’s Kayaking Fun Day, our members were encouraged to break through their limitations and discover their untapped talents.

Kayaking may not be easy for someone facing challenges, but our members were able to paddle with joy and enthusiasm.

The Kayaking Fun Day provided an opportunity for people of all abilities to bask in the sunshine, try something new, stay active on the water, and build confidence through shared experiences.

Beautiful summer flower artwork was created by our Creative Arts participants last week. Using construction paper, paper plates, glue and a little imagination, the participants got summer 2025 off to a great start!
