This past weekend we hosted an appreciation dinner - a great reminder of how lucky we are to work alongside the people we do.

We played games, ate amazing food, shared lots of laughs, and took a little time to enjoy each other’s company.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to the caring, compassionate, and dedicated individuals we have the pleasure to know. We are forever grateful for their ongoing assistance and support.

On December 8, 1993, the Oberhammers packed up their family and moved from Red Deer to Rimbey with a dream of serving this community.

This newspaper clipping was in the Rimbey Record on January 18, 1994. Just days later, on January 24, 1994, Oberhammer Funeral Chapels officially opened their doors. That's nearly 32 years ago!

Grief can feel isolating, even when you’re surrounded by people who care. A bereavement support group offers a safe, gentle space to share, listen, or simply sit with others who understand loss in their own way.

This is a reminder of the upcoming Bereavement Support Group that will begin meeting together starting next Monday, January 19, 2026.

This eight-week program will be held from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. every Monday until March 9, 2026, and will focus on loss, grief, and coping within a compassionate and understanding environment.
