Canadian Red Cross is aware that in person course cancellations due to COVID-19 precautionary measures and closures and will have an impact on those requiring to maintain their certifications. Red Cross has worked with workplace health and safety regulators to offer support to those who have certifications that will expire in the next months.

All Red Cross first aid certifications (which would have expired March through June 30, 2020) will be considered valid 90-days beyond their expiry date. These certifications will also be accepted for those taking recertification courses when in-person training resumes.

RBT Instruction, like other businesses and organizations in Canada, has been forced to confront the ramifications of the COVID 19 virus spread. We will be temporarily suspending our public courses. We will continue to work with our clients concerning private course on a case by case basis.
One option to consider is the taking a “blended” Workplace Standard First Aid course. This consists of on-line modules completed at your own pace, and one day in the class room, which can be completed at a later date. Contact us for details.
Concerning the virus, and mitigation strategies, we encourage everyone to consult reputable sources of information, such as the Office of the Chief Medical Officer of Health for NB https://www2.gnb.ca/content/gnb/en/departments/ocmoh/cdc/content/respiratory_diseases/coronavirus.html
We will also share reputable information concerning COVID 19 on our page.

Blended Learning - $95 (+HST)
A combination of in-class, face-to-face instruction with online instruction. Theory and information are conveyed to participants outside of the classroom through an online component. This allows for the in-class component to concentrate on skill development and the application of theory. In the case of Red Cross First Aid courses, a self-paced, online session is completed first, followed by an in-class skills session with a Red Cross First Aid Instructor.

Work Place Standard First Aid with Level C CPR/AED is offered as a Blended Learning option.

March 20th 2020

Riverview

Also available 6 hour Skills Review Day $60 (+HST)
This course is a yearly requirement for those wishing to maintain their NB Workplace Standard First Aid and CPR/AED certification and have not had 6 hours of patient care at the first aid level during the past year. Participants must provide proof of their original certification. This course is a review of material covered in the full course and ensures the participants maintenance of skills.
