Unfortunately I couldn't attend the workshop this weekend to recognize the life and contributions of my mentor, Erik Dalton
However, I'd like to post this in honor of him... I'd like to acknowledge the one of kind person Erik truly was and how he really was behind the scenes...so much more than just a brilliant educator....
3 years ago I had a total hip replacement.
Born with a birth defect, most of my life I lived in chronic pain.
It's what propelled me into the world of bodywork and healing.
I fought addictions, through consumption, trying to manage pain.
With the loving support of my partner, I worked through my shadows and released a ton of pain and overcame my addiction.
Then I met Erik Dalton, dove into his methodology and deepened my understanding of pain/ dysfunction and how to restore and regenerate the alignment of the body. I was doing so much better!
But then I suffered an intense injury, so with defected hip hanging in the balance and the sustained injury, it accelerated a path to surgery.
Without the friendship and wisdom of Erik Dalton I may have never proceeded with the replacement. He compassionately listened to my struggles. Then took the time to review my X-ray, my CT scan, my MRI, my surgeon report and recommendations and confidentially gave his endorsement and loving support to go for it, get the replacement!
And man oh man was he right! If I didn't get that message from him I may still be suffering today!
And now, because of Erik's profound knowledge and education platform, I can sustain my health and alignment like never before!
So thank you Erik, not just for your dedication and service to leveling up the world of bodywork, but also for your kind heart, your support, and helping me instill a new found confidence and hope within! I am now pain free and back to doing things I love, like this!!!!
