Warmer longer days means the mares are shedding their winter coats.

We’ve placed baskets woven with blackberry and morning glory vines around the farm and are continually filling them with the excess horsehair for the birds to use in their nests.

Thanks to a grant from BCTRA we are planting the seeds for our newest offering, PEACEFUL HEARTS, a program to support those navigating the life changing journey of cancer

Peaceful Hearts, Cancer Recovery with Horses.

Thank you BC Therapeutic Riding Association for this grant to allow us to build this unique program to support those in finding hope and strength while on the journey of cancer recovery.

Hey friends😊
As we continue to be blanketed in a beautiful shimmering frosty covering of white, to those of us caring for animals, this beauty also means frozen pipes and hoses, and seemingly endless hours spent chipping ice out of buckets and carrying water to our beloved herd.

So, we have a big ask!
It looks like this freeze is going to last another week at least so We are looking for help to bring warm water to our herd and keep them happily hydrated.

Do you have a little extra time this week to help?

Can you drop by with hot water?

Do you have large water containers that we could use?

PS Miles road has not been plowed but it is passable with good tires.
