Crosswinds Seniors Resort is a bright, modern style level 1 & 2 personal care facility consisting of 54 rooms. All rooms are lightly furnished with modern style furniture featuring a double bed, we have three couples rooms with queen sized beds, 32' flat screen TV with cable, internet and telephone. Every room has its own private three piece bathroom with in floor heating. The dining room has a European style finish, with thirty foot cathedral ceilings, home cooked meals daily, dietician approved menu, fresh breads and desserts and service with a smile. Our lounge is elegantly furnished with modern living accommodations, 47' flat screen and cable TV. We also have a games room where we play trouble, wheel of fortune, bean bag toss, bowling on the x-box and bingo with the residents daily. At Crosswinds our priority is to ensure a respectful resident centered approach to care in a home like atmosphere. Residents will enjoy independence, privacy, and a lifestyle to suit their needs. Our recreation coordinator has a full slate of activities for those who wish to take part. We also have fitness activities for those who enjoy active living. Studies show that increased activity has been proven to promote healthy active living. Residents have access to an LPN, registered nurse, social worker and an occupational therapist as referred by their family physician. Our cooks will devise a meal plan to individually meet regimes specified by the dietician. Residents can discuss specific diets, as well as likes and dislikes with staff and every effort will be made to accommodate you. Our goal is to make you feel at home.

We are delighted to report that the Christmas Giving Mitten Tree initiative at Crosswinds Seniors Resort achieved great success.
Along with Velvet Madore of the Southwestern Community Youth Network and Andy McKee, recreation staff at Crosswinds, we distributed gifts to every resident on Sunday afternoon. Witnessing the residents' joy and satisfaction as they received their gifts was truly heartwarming.
Our sincerest appreciation goes out to everyone involved in this initiative, from Chelesa Harris (who initially suggested it), to the students and staff at E. A. Butler who helped, and to everyone who so kindly purchased the items on the residents wish lists!

All of our mittens have been selected! On behalf of Velvet Madore, Youth Engagement coordinator at The Community Youth Network, and residents and staff at Crosswinds Seniors Resort, we extend our sincerest gratitude for your support of our Christmas Mitten Tree. Crosswinds Seniors Resort and the Bay St. George South Community Youth Network invites you to participate in our Christmas Giving Tree!

We asked our residents for a Christmas "wish list" of 3 or 4 items they would like to receive as a gift this Christmas, then placed those wish lists on our Mitten Tree! (We can also provide alternative or additional item ideas of things our residents struggle with purchasing.)
Please see the poster below for more details on how to participate, and if you have any questions reach out!

We do ask that if you take a mitten to participate that you kindly provide us with your name and contact information; and to please package your items in a gift bag (not wrapping paper) and return the mitten with the gift to Crosswinds no later than December 19, 2025.

Locally, anyone interested can drop by our building between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm. If anyone not local would like to participate, please email us at carolyn.madore@cwsr.ca or bsgsouth.cyn@gmail.com we can help and would appreciate your help!! Together we can help make some Christmas wishes come true ❤️
