UPDATE: FLOOD OUTLOOK

SNC advises that the Flood Outlook Statement issued on March 4th will be extended to March 18, 2025. Warmer temperatures and rain will continue throughout the week and flooding of low-lying areas, floodplains, and areas with poor drainage may be possible.

Residents are advised to exercise extreme caution when near rivers and waterbodies due to increasing river flows and slippery conditions. Any ice-covered bodies of water are considered unsafe. Parents are encouraged to explain these dangers to their children.

La CNS informe que la déclaration sur les perspectives d'inondation publiée le 4 mars sera prolongée jusqu'au 18 mars 2025. Les températures plus chaudes et la pluie continueront tout au long de la semaine et des inondations dans les zones basses, les plaines inondables et les zones mal drainées pourraient être possibles.

Il est conseillé aux résidents de faire preuve d'une extrême prudence lorsqu'ils se trouvent à proximité de rivières et de plans d'eau en raison du débit élevé des rivières et des conditions glissantes. Tout étendue d'eau recouverte de glace est considérée comme dangereuse. On demande aux parents d'expliquer ces dangers à leurs enfants.
