WCFSA was founded by a group of people who recognized a need in our community. An organization that started simply as a homemaking service for seniors was incorporated in 1980 and evolved into a staple of homecare in Rocky Mountain House, Clearwater County, Caroline, Eckville and Leslieville, Alberta. Senior-focused programming includes:
Homecare Services - certified HCAs deliver care governed by
a public contract. Adult Day Support Program - certified HCAs deliver programming governed by a public contract. Wellness Connect Program - certified HCAs offer technology training and access to seniors that builds confidence and supports lifelong learning and self-determination. Home Support Services - trained staff provide light housekeeping and social support. Lifeline - trained staff install this trusted medical alert service that is monitored and responded to by Lifeline agents 24/7 to dispatch help when most needed. Community Access Transportation Program - 2 wheelchair-accessible vans and 1 standard van are driven by dedicated volunteers to ensure clients can get to their non-emergent yet medically necessary appointments. Meals-on-Wheels - in partnership with Evergreen Coop, dedicated volunteers deliver hot lunches to the residents of Rocky Mountain House Monday through Friday. Grocery Delivery - in partnership with Evergreen Coop, dedicated volunteers provide free grocery delivery to the residents of Rocky Mountain House. Adopt-A-Senior Program - program that exists purely by donation ensures seniors in need receive a holiday gift hamper to support aging in place safely. WCFSA's mission to provide affordable, respectful and quality programming that champion grace, dignity, independence, wellness and safety of the seniors living in our community and in the homes of their choosing is at the very core of each of these wrap-around services. Programming is guided by our beliefs and commitments to integrity, stewardship, community and family. Your home is where our heart is.
