Something that isn’t being talked about enough is the mental health crisis.
Our systems are failing us , and dont teach enough or most times not even touching on emotional intelligence. We’re not taught this in school and it’s of importance.
Here is some ways to help improve mental health.
Self care -( How ever that may look.)
physical activities
(exercise, healthy eating, sleep), mental breaks (journaling, meditation, reading), creative outlets (art, music, hobbies), social connections (calling loved ones, spending time with family), and relaxation (baths, nature walks, digital detox)
Nature -It reduces stress, anxiety, and rumination, while improving mood, focus, and creativity,it innates connection (biophilia) to the natural world, enhances overall well-being.Also cognitive restoration and emotional regulation.
Exercise-
Releases endorphins (feel-good chemicals) and lowers cortisol (stress hormone).
Increases serotonin and dopamine, improves happiness and energy.
Also while reducing stress, anxiety, and depression. As well as improving mood, sleep, and self-esteem, and providing a healthy distraction.
Breathing -
It helps with Nervous System Regulation. Deep breathing activates the parasympathetic nervous system (rest-and-digest),
Breathing rhythms influence brain cells, affecting emotions, attention, and perception.
Deep breathing increases oxygen in the bloodstream, which helps calm the body and mind. And in turn calms the nervous system, reducing stress, anxiety, and depression, and improving focus.
Hobbies / creative ways - It provides
non-verbal ways to process emotions, and creates mindfulness to calm the mind and stimulate feel-good brain
chemicals.Hobbies-Lower cortisol (stress hormone) and provides a healthy distraction from worries. They Offer a non-verbal outlet for complex feelings, similar to therapy. Also Sparks Dopamine Releases of "feel-good" neurotransmitters, while increasing motivation.
Music - frequency (ghz)
Music reduces stress hormones, boosting mood-lifting neurotransmitters like dopamine, easing anxiety and depression, improving focus, and fostering social connection, emotional and cognitive well-being. It activates brain regions for emotion and memory, helps regulate emotions, and provides a powerful tool for self-expression,
Music also lowers cortisol (stress hormone), heart rate, and blood pressure, promoting relaxation.
Petting animals significantly boosts mental health by releasing feel-good hormones (oxytocin, dopamine) and helps reduce stress hormones (cortisol), while lowering blood pressure, also they ease loneliness, and provide unconditional love and a sense of purpose.
Tactile interaction lowers cortisol, decreases sympathetic nervous system activity, and promotes relaxation.Animals live in the moment, while helping humans to focus on the present and helps distract from negative thoughts.
Your not alone 😉
