❄️Happy Yule and Winter Solstice❄️
Today is the longest night and shortest day of the year. After this night, the nights will start to get shorter and the days longer.
Yule which means wheel, is about life, death and rebirth. We fill our home with evergreens to show that even in death there is still life flourishing.
Yule is a celebration of light, the sun and it’s life giving properties upon the earth. It is a time to be thankful for all that we have, lessons we have learnt, people who have come and gone in our lives and to gather strength for the New Year. Now is the perfect time to contemplate on the year that has gone and look to the future as a new year full of possibilities just around the corner.
This Yule, don’t forget to set intentions and makes wishes for the lighter days ahead.
