The infamous trap(ezius) muscle.

Blamed for every ache, twinge, and odd sensation around the neck.
-
Scrutinized for being too strong, tight, & weak at the same time.
-
Divided into sections & isolated in the name of rehabilitation.
-
Itโ€™s an interesting muscle.
-
Though it can be weak, tight, & over- or under-developed - thereโ€™s no reason for us to have made this thing so complicated.
-
At the end of the (long clinic) day, the trapezius is a muscle.
-
Stretch & massage it if it feels good.
-
If pain & discomfort continue to ebb & flow, consider strengthening the area.
-
But whatever you do - donโ€™t get trapped by the idea that this muscle is different from the others.
