I’m writing this note to let you and your staff know how pleased I am with the care being provided to my elderly aunt at Island View Place.

My eldery aunt and uncle moved to IVP in 2013, after some serious health issues meant they could no longer live on their own. Right from the outset, they were comfortable with the size of the facility, the consideration provided by the staff, and the homey feel to the place. Sadly, my uncle passed away in 2014, but the personal care and close attention that he received ensured that his final days were made as comfortable and as painless as possible.

Since that time, my aunt has remained at Island View. She sees this facility as her permanent home, and, although she misses her husband, she often comments how happy she is there. The staff treat her extremely well, and she feels both cared for and loved. When I visit, I see the interactions these people have with my aunt, and I cannot help but be impressed. For her, now over 100 years of age and in declining health, this place is an excellent fit, and one which truly goes the “extra mile” to make these final years as happy and as enjoyable as possible.

I appreciate all that is being done at Island View to provide her with the quality of life that she so richly deserves.

Who needs to go to a restaurant when this is what is on our menu? We live in such a beautiful place with an abundance of fresh food close by, like Metchosin Lamb. Dinner is served!
