Clinical Osteopathy, in Simple Words:
Be kind to yourself.
Be kind to others.
Increase what strengthens.
Reduce what weakens.
Choose upliftment, joy, and empathy.
And remember—healing isn’t just passive receiving.
It’s how we move, breathe, touch, and care.
Osteopathy uses hands to gently guide the body back to balance—intentionally, respectfully, and naturally. 💫

Such a historic moment for our profession!
New Brunswick is the first province in Canada to legislate osteopathy.
We are very thankful to the AONB for all of the work that has been put into this effort.

Job Opportunity: Mentor – Part-Time, Casual (15-24 hours per week)
Open Sky Co-operative, Ltd.

Open Sky Co-operative is excited to invite applications to join our Mentor Team for part-time and casual employment.

We provide support and training to neurodivergent young adults who face challenges related to autism, learning disabilities, or mental health. Our base is a small sustainable farm located in the municipality of Tantramar, where we also offer assistance to participants in their homes and within the community as needed.

As a Mentor at Open Sky, you will demonstrate maturity, reliability, patience, and outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build trust and safety with those you support. While relevant post-secondary education and/or experience is beneficial, what matters most is your aptitude for accommodating various learning styles and needs. Basic training in Food Handling, First Aid, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, and/or Mental Health First Aid is advantageous, as is possessing a Driver’s license. A Criminal Records Check is mandatory.

Our top priority is our program participants, so leadership skills in managing small groups are valuable. Mentors are also expected to assist with routine tasks on the farm, in the kitchen, and around the property. We are looking for someone who will complement our team and is passionate about learning and making a positive impact in others' lives.

If this sounds like you, please send a one-page cover letter outlining your interests along with your resume to Laura Hunter, Executive Director, at info@openskyco-op.ca by November 20th.

Tracy & I recently completed a workshop on Osteopathy for Performing Artists. A great overview about repetitive strain & common traumatic injuries experienced by instrumentalist, vocalists & dancers. Robbie will be opening up select Saturdays (dates TBD) in the new year in Sackville to offer osteopathic treatment on a pay-what-you-can basis for professional artists who don’t have extended health care coverage. Artists of all genres, if you’re having physical issues affecting your work, please reach out with your questions. (506) 869-1672 / info@wellwithinosteopathy.ca

This photo is of me & my friend, professional dancer & fellow osteopath Susan Cook performing at the 2006 Dance Nova Scotia Gala in the foyer of the Rebecca Cohn. We danced the entire space… open floor, staircases, window boxes, slid down a spiral banister on my belly. It was beautiful & pretty punk rock. Thanks for the invitation to work with you Susan!
