It is with a heavy heart I am writing to tell the world that my husband and life partner, Phillip Charles Glencross, has passed. He was the 4th child of Alex and Doris (Russell) Glencross and the beloved brother to Tony, Patricia, John and Cathy.

Phillip was born at home on the family farm, where he had the life of a typical farm boy learning to keep the wood box filled, and working on the farm. When his father started lobster fishing, he worked alongside of the family. He left school early to attend the community college where he trained to become a stationary engineer, he later returned to school to complete his grade 12. After returning to the East Coast, he worked at Atlantic Windows and then took a turn at the wheel of Anglophone East's school busses until he retired.

He worked and lived across the country before returning to Little Shemogue and marrying Catherine. He loved travelling around with her visiting historical places, finding car shows wherever they went including England, Scotland and Ireland, joining The Cumberland Car Club, The Studebaker Drivers Club (Atlantic Canada Chapter), taking courses at the Wooden Boat School and of course chatting with people they met along the way.

Phillip was predeceased by his parents, Alex and Doris, infant sister Diane, and his brother Tony. He is survived by his wife and life partner Catherine (Delaney) Glencross, brother John (Linda), sisters Patricia and Cathy (Roger) Merrick, sister in-law Gerry Glencross, brother in-law Pat (Sharon) Delaney, and sister in-law Cheryl Delaney. As well, as his nieces, Tanya (Mark), Juanita (Chris, Gary), Jennifer (Laurie, Izzy, Claire) Amanda (Lila, Mason), Christa, Rebecca (Mia, Tanaya), Melissa (Evan), Erin (Keith, Smantha, Keenan), Michelle (Willie), His nephews, Christopher (Nancy, Emma, Liam), Shawn (Rosey), Gregory, Robert, Keith and William. Along with his great niece Kandace, and great nephews Matt (Jocob), Tomas, Cory (Angelica, Riley), Kole, Parker (Brynna).

Until our next adventure, Phillip, I will love you to the end of time and beyond!

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Jones Funeral Home, Sackville and Port Elgin, NB. There will not be a funeral but rather a private farewell will be held for Phillip.

People wishing to donate in his name may do so to one of the following organizations near and dear to his heart: Port Elgin Regional School, Westford Nursing Home, and the Alzheimer's Society.

With deep sadness, the family of Lillian Ruth (Herring) Corbett announces her passing on July 20, 2025 at the age of 80.

Lillian was born in Murray River, PEI, and was the youngest child of the late Harry and Jeanetta (Reynolds) Herring. She was raised in Truro, NS where she met her soulmate, Ron, at the age of 15. They married in 1967 and raised three daughters, with Lil providing the essential support, strength and stability for their family to thrive.

Lil became a hairdresser at a young age, working for several years. As her family grew, Lil's main focus shifted to her husband and daughters. Lil moved with her family many times over the next 20 years as Ron finished his education and began his career. They finally settled in "windy Sackville" in 1985 and Lil continued to be the backbone of her family as Ron's career evolved. When Ron started his consulting business, Lil kept things on track by managing the administrattion and bookkeeping.

Lil was also crafty and creative and enjoyed working with her hands. She knitted adorable baby outfits and crocheted elaborate table cloths and Christmas tree ornaments that her family will continue to treasure. She made gorgeous quilts with her quilting group and the delicious smells of baking or preserves often filled her kitchen. In their retirement, she enjoyed travelling with her husband and many road trips in their 1979 Corvette.

Lil would bless everyone she met with her bright, warmhearted smile and kind, gentle demeanor. If you were lucky enough to know her a little better, you would realize she also had a smart and sassy sense of humour and a quick, dry wit. Lil was the fiercest of fighters, battling non-Hodkins lymphoma in 1993 and breast cancer in 1998. For much of her life, Lil also lived with a chronic lung disease. Even at her most sick, Lillian would never complain and would always notice if others were feeling unwell or sad and offer them kind and loving reassurance.Lil's family is comforted that she has been reunited with Ron, the love of her life.

She is deeply missed by her three daughters, Laura (Sherman), Juanita (Stephen) and Tara; seven grandchildren Zach(Kristiann), Ethan, Teagan, Mackenzie, Benjamin, Elijah and Madison; sister Net and brother Ben; many nieces, nephews and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at The Drew Nursing Home for providing such love and care to Lil during her time there.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville, NB (506-364-1300). A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, to be announced.

Donations in memory of Lil can be made to The Canadian Cancer Society, The Alzheimer Society of Canada or a charity of your choice.

Sharing of memories and condolences may be sent to the family by visiting the online memorial at www.jonesfuneralhome.ca or through the Jones Funeral Home page.
