It is with great sadness that the family of Linda Dale (Hicks) Troop, age 80, of Sackville, N.B., announces her passing on Sunday, October 26, 2025. Born on June 14, 1945 in Amherst, NS to the late Lindell and Marion (Kenney), Linda grew up on Kirk Street in Sackville. In addition to her parents, she was raised by her older sisters and brother, who always called her their “baby sister.”
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the teams at the Oncology Centre at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital, the Moncton Hospital, Sackville Memorial Hospital, Westford Nursing Home and to all the friends and family who supported them with love and care throughout Linda’s journey.
Linda will be remembered always for her kindness, strength, and the love she gave so freely.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Erin Campbell and the staff at Campbells Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville NB. (506) 364-8188. Following Linda’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visiting hours or funeral service. If so desired, donations in memory of Linda may be made to the Lillian Allbon Animal Shelter, Amherst, NS, People for Animal Wellbeing (PAW), Moncton, your local SPCA or to the charity of one’s choice.
