Preparing for an obstetric ultrasound? Here’s why having a full bladder is important!

Rabeea, an ultrasound technician at MIC Hys, explains how a full bladder can significantly enhance your scan, especially during early pregnancy. A full bladder improves image quality, pushes bowel out of the way, and provides the clearest view of your baby and the surrounding structures. Rabeea also discusses strategies to alleviate discomfort while at the clinic.

✅ Tip: Empty your bladder one hour before your appointment, drink 1 liter of water (about 4 glasses), and hold it until your scan.

This simple preparation helps avoid delays or the need to reschedule and ensures we achieve the best possible results!
