📢 March is Brain Health Awareness Month.
You know the feeling…
You walk into a room and forget why.
You reread the same email three times.
Your head feels heavy by 3 PM.
And sleep doesn’t seem to fix it.
That foggy, overloaded brain feeling is often your nervous system asking for support.
Regular Reflexology sessions may help reduce headaches and support the body during periods of stress. Many people also report improvements in sleep, tension, and mental clarity.
Because when the body relaxes and resets, the brain often follows.
Sometimes what your brain needs most… is for the rest of you to finally slow down.

Reflexology is often sought out when stress, fatigue or discomfort have reached a tipping point, and while it can be deeply supportive in those moments, it’s rarely where the most lasting changes begin.

In practice, the clients who tend to experience the most noticeable benefits are those who don’t wait until they’re completely run down. They come when symptoms are subtle, when stress is building quietly, or simply because they recognise the value of regular support.

Reflexology works by encouraging the body’s natural balance and self-regulation. Like many wellbeing approaches, its effects are often cumulative, meaning consistency matters. Regular sessions can help the nervous system stay regulated, rather than constantly recovering from overload.

💜 The Irish Reflexologists’ Institute (IRI) is the professional body for reflexology in Ireland, supporting reflexologists through education, professional standards, continued learning, and a connected practitioner community. 💜

Looking after yourself doesn’t have to be a response to burnout. It can be part of how you prevent it in the first place.

🚨 New Study Alert! 🚨
Emerging research continues to explore the role of reflexology in clinical settings and the results are encouraging!
A recent study comparing foot and hand reflexology in patients admitted to a Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CCU) found that both approaches were effective in reducing anxiety.
Even more compelling?
👋 Hand reflexology also showed potential in reducing pain.
In high-stress, high-acuity environments like cardiac intensive care, reflexology can help regulate anxiety and improve comfort. Studies like this continue to highlight how reflexology may serve as a valuable complementary therapy alongside conventional medical care.

🍂 Reflexology & the Change of Seasons
As we transition into a new season, our bodies often work harder to adapt — from shifts in temperature and daylight to changes in energy, mood, and routine.
Reflexology can support this natural adjustment by:
🌿 Encouraging circulation
💆 Reducing stress and muscle tension
🧠 Supporting mental clarity
🌸 Promoting overall balance within the body
Many people find that a reflexology session helps them feel more grounded, centered, and resilient as the seasons shift. It’s a gentle, non-invasive way to support whole-body wellness during times of transition.
To explore how reflexology can support your seasonal wellbeing, connect with a Registered Canadian Reflexology Therapist (RCRT™) in your area.

If you’re craving a natural way to feel warmer, lighter, and more grounded this season, reflexology is a gentle place to begin. 👣💜
