in my flow ♡

There’s a certain magic that happens when I’m holding space for someone on the table. I’ve watched pain melt away, emotions finally find their release, and people reconnect with a part of themselves they thought they’d lost. The transformations I get to witness daily reminds me why I love this work so deeply. A dance between the seen and unseen.🤍

Kidney Qi ♡⁣

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, chronic knee pain isn’t just seen as localized issue but as a sign of an underlying imbalance in the Kidney energy system. ⁣

The Kidneys are crucial for our overall health and vitality. They store our Essence which governs growth, reproduction, and aging. The kidneys regulate water metabolism, manage fluid balance, and support bone health and marrow production. They also control sexual health and reproductive function, and are associated with willpower and emotions, particularly fear. The kidneys balance the Water element and work with the heart’s Fire element to maintain harmony in the body. Kidney energy is essential for longevity, emotional stability, and healthy aging. ✨⁣

♡ Acu needles ⁣

Did you know that 12 acupuncture needles can fit into 1 needle that draws blood? Acu needles are super small! And typically as thin as a hair. ⁣

Acupuncture works by tuning up your body’s energy system. Imagine your body as a network of roads, with energy traveling through them. Sometimes, these energy pathways can get blocked or out of balance, just like traffic jams on a busy highway.⁣

I use these thin needles to gently unblock or redirect this energy at specific points along your body. These points are like the rest stops or intersections where energy flows, and when the flow is improved, it can help your body heal itself and feel better. ⁣

This amazing medicine has held the test of time and works with every single system in the body. ✨⁣

♡ Sound Therapy ⁣

Everything that has an atomic structure has a vibration. The speed or rate at which it is vibrating is called a frequency. The most ideal frequency for an object to naturally vibrate is called its resonance. Every cell, organ, and bone in our body has its unique resonant vibrational frequency. When illness takes hold, at a fundamental level the vibrational resonance of that structure has been compromised, or become “dissonant”. The goal of sound healing or sound therapy is to bring all the systems in the body out of a state of dissonance, back to a state of resonance. ✨⁣

♡ Cups, cups, & more cups ⁣

I offer a variety of cupping techniques in my practice which varies depending on what my patient is presenting at the time. I can use silicone cups, glass or plastic, and I determine this by an intake I do before the treatment starts. I also offer different cupping techniques as well. Stationary cupping (where they stay in one place), or sliding cupping (where I move them around). Or a beautiful combination of both! I also offer wet cupping which is where I lance the skin and cup overtop. ⁣

I love to add more fire cupping as the seasons change to the autumn and winter months as the body needs more warmth and fire energy. 🔥⁣

♡ Energy Clearing ⁣

The beautiful ritual of energy clearing! Smudging is a traditional practice rooted in the Indigenous culture and involves the burning of herbs like sage, cedar, sweetgrass, or palo santo. Smudging calls on the spirits of sacred plants to drive away negative energies and restore balance. ⁣

This ritual can be done to clear energy within yourself, your space or your belongings. I love to add this into my treatments when I feel it’s necessary. ✨⁣

♡ Gua Sha ⁣

Gua sha is a traditional Chinese healing technique that involves scraping the skin with a smooth-edged tool to improve circulation and promote healing. ⁣

Gua Sha stimulates blood flow, releases muscle tension, boosts the immune system, improves lymphatic drainage and flushes out toxins. It’s often used to treat conditions like muscle pain, tension, and inflammation. It is also used on the face to promote circulation for tired or congested skin. ✨⁣

♡ Nervous System Reset ⁣

Have you ever wondered why you feel so relaxed after an acupuncture session? Perhaps like you are floating on a cloud? You can attribute that to the release of endorphins, the body’s natural painkillers and mood elevators. This contributes to feelings of well-being and relaxation. Enjoy the sensation of floating—it’s a sign that your body and mind are responding positively to the treatment.⁣

Acupuncture resets the nervous system by influencing neurotransmitter activity, such as serotonin and dopamine, which regulate mood and pain perception. It also activates the parasympathetic nervous system, promoting relaxation and reducing stress. Additionally, acupuncture’s anti-inflammatory effects and modulation of neural pathways contribute to restoring balance and promoting overall nervous system health. 🤍⁣

♡ Yintang ⁣

In traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) there are over 350 classical acupuncture points located on the body, all of which have particular functions and healing properties. ⁣

One of the most common points I use in my practice is Yintang. It is located between the eyebrows, in the midline of the forehead. Here’s what Yintang is used for and its common effects:⁣

1. Calming the Mind: ⁣
Yintang is frequently used to calm the mind and reduce stress and anxiety. It’s often employed to help alleviate restlessness, irritability, and agitation.⁣

2: Improving Sleep:⁣
This point is commonly used to address insomnia and other sleep-related issues. It can help relax the body and mind, promoting restful sleep.⁣

3: Headache and Sinus Relief:⁣
Yintang is often used to relieve headaches, particularly those in the frontal region. It is also used to help relieve sinus congestion and related symptoms, making it a popular choice for patients with sinusitis or allergies.⁣

4: Emotional Balance:⁣
Given its calming effects, Yintang can be used to address emotional imbalances. It is often applied to support emotional health and well-being.⁣

5: Facial Acupuncture:⁣
In addition to its therapeutic uses, Yintang is also used in facial acupuncture and cosmetic acupuncture for its aesthetic and relaxing benefits.⁣

Come see for yourself how acupuncture can help you. ✨⁣

♡ Acupuncture & Mental Health⁣

Acupuncture is a wonderful tool for supporting mental health. Its holistic approach addresses both the physical and emotional aspects of well-being, promoting relaxation, balance, and overall vitality. Whether used as a standalone therapy or in combination with other treatments, acupuncture offers a gentle way to nurture mental health and enhance overall quality of life. It also helps with: ⁣

1. Stress Reduction: Acupuncture can stimulate the release of endorphins, which are the body’s natural painkillers and mood elevators. By reducing stress and promoting relaxation, acupuncture may help alleviate symptoms of anxiety and depression.⁣

2. Improved Sleep: Many people with mental health issues struggle with sleep disturbances. Acupuncture has been shown to regulate the body’s sleep-wake cycle and improve sleep quality, which can have a positive impact on overall mental well-being.⁣

3. Enhanced Energy and Vitality: Acupuncture aims to balance the flow of energy, or qi, throughout the body. By improving energy circulation, acupuncture may help alleviate feelings of fatigue and boost overall vitality, which can be beneficial for mental health.⁣

4. Support for Traditional Therapies: Acupuncture can be used as a complementary therapy alongside traditional treatments such as psychotherapy or medication. It can enhance the effectiveness of these treatments and provide additional support for managing mental health conditions.⁣

5. Mind-Body Connection: Acupuncture is rooted in traditional Chinese medicine, which views the mind and body as interconnected. By addressing imbalances in the body, acupuncture may also have a positive impact on mental and emotional well-being.⁣
