The pressure of New Year’s resolutions can be overwhelming—especially with all the focus on weight loss, diet plans, and "starting fresh."

“Enough is enough”

A few years ago, my husband did something AMAZING.

He stepped in and stood up for me when I couldn’t do it myself.

Back then, I was at my lowest point - restricting, overexercising, and generally being a miserable human being.

And I could have easily stayed in that place for years if it wasn’t for him.

My point?

Sometimes it takes others telling us that enough is enough to see that we are hurting ourselves.

So today I’m telling you...

Enough is enough.

You’ve been through enough guilt, shame, and pain in your life.

It’s time for you to stop beating yourself up and HEAL your relationship with food.

And I’m here for you - every step of the way.

I told one of my clients NOT to set a weight loss goal right now. 😲

Most of my clients come to me because they are struggling with weight loss.

But focusing on weight loss is actually NOT what many of them need.

(It might not be what you need, either.)

This particular client was turning to food to cope with grief… And I knew that simply setting a 10 lbs weight loss goal wouldn’t help her.

Once she hit it, she’d go back to her old habits…

And end up right back where she started. 🤷‍♀️

Sometimes you can do both things at once: address your emotional eating issues AND work on losing weight.

Sometimes you can’t.

The longer you’ve been struggling with emotional eating (or binge eating, or stress eating), the more likely it is that focusing on weight loss will only harm you.

First, you need to look at the deeper things.

The grief.

The shame.

The unworthiness.

You need to find coping mechanisms that aren’t related to food.

And when you do?

You might not even need that meal plan or that weight loss goal. ❤️️
