Headaches are common. But they are not something you just have to push through. 💆‍♀️

Your neck, upper spine, and nervous system all play a role in how often headaches show up and how intense they feel. The good news is there are simple things you can do at home to support your body between visits.

1. Stretch your neck and upper back. Gentle movement helps release the tension that builds up throughout the day.
2. Drink more water. Dehydration is one of the most overlooked headache triggers and one of the easiest to address.
3. Check in with your posture. Forward head posture from screens puts extra load on your neck and spine, and that adds up.

These are small shifts, but they can make a real difference over time.

If headaches keep showing up no matter what you try, that is your body asking for a deeper look. Chiropractic care helps reduce tension in the spine and supports your nervous system so your body can regulate itself more effectively.

A lot of headaches, especially tension headaches and those that start at the base of your skull, are connected to what is happening in your neck and upper spine.

When there is restriction or stress in those joints, it creates tension that travels upward and affects how your nervous system is functioning. And when your nervous system is under stress, your whole body feels it.

The vagus nerve is the longest nerve in your body, running from your brainstem down to your digestive system. It’s the main highway for gut-brain communication, carrying messages back and forth every single second.
