Home maintenance is so very important when trying to protect your biggest asset! Be proactive and stay ahead of the melt rather than reactive and have to clean up water after the fact.

Make sure all downspouts are sloped and directed away from your home. This will possibly prevent any major clean up and property damage.

We finally have some warmer temperatures coming! Please try to snowblow and move and remaining any snow away from your foundation to prevent water damage as seepage is not covered.

As the saying goes is "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure."

We are pleased to announce that Jason Galon, COO for , has been elected chair of the 2026-27 Insurance Brokers​ Association of Saskatchewan board of directors — becoming the 64th distinguished individual to hold the post. He is joined on the executive by Vice Chair Shantel Kalika (CEO of ) and Secretary-Treasurer Arynne Miller (Owner of St. Brieux & Middle Lake Agencies).

Other returning directors include: Past Chair Sarah Johnston (); Joanna Reece (); Lyndon Block (); Morgan Kolababa (); Regan Martens (Proven Insurance); Rob Barlow (); and Scott Frizzell ().

And joining the board for the first time this year are Robyn Cherry () and Tara Labbee ().

With the nicer weather and the winter melt starting, please be sure to move the snow and water away from your property to prevent seepage and/or water damage. (Water coverage, if you have chosen it, is for any sudden and accidental loss not anything that occurs slowly or gradually over time.) General home maintenance can be a lot easier ahead of a potential loss than after the fact!!!

Head's up.... SGI deductibles are set to rise- this increase makes having an SGI autopak a no-brainer! It is a lot easier to have the $30/month autopak payment then come up with $950 when you have a claim- and wildlife still has $0 deductible!!
