On International Day of the Midwife, we celebrate every midwife! At Niagara Midwives, in our community, and around the world.

We gathered yesterday, however the babies had other plans for a few of us! Missing in the photo are Munajat, Heidi, Kerrie, Jen, and Sam.

Some of us at Niagara midwives had a busy weekend sharpening our skills to better serve our community. Some of our team attended the The Society of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists of Canada ALARM workshop, focusing on the latest in maternity emergency care, while others dove into a Spinning Babies workshop to learn techniques for optimal fetal positioning.

It was a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with the fantastic nurses at our hospital Niagara Health, doulas, and our friends at Renaissance Midwifery and Lincoln Community Midwives.
