Roxanne Derhodge always had a
gift for connecting with others. She decided early in life that she
wanted to make a difference in
peoples’ lives. In her early twenties
she began working with the Metro
Toronto Police assisting victims
of crime. She eventually went on
to head an Addictions Unit with
the Niagara Health System before
entering the corporate consulting
fi eld where she was responsible

r over 40 companies. During her time working as a therapist, she has devoted her
training and practice to specializing in the following areas: addictions;
eating disorders and body image concerns; gambling;
the traumatic impact of sexual and domestic violence; managing
anxiety/depression; and separation/divorce. Experienced
in working with adults and children, she employs a wide variety
of treatment approaches (i.e. EMDR, cognitive behavioural and
narrative therapies), determined by each individual’s life context. Roxanne has a unique way of bringing her warmth and uncanny
ability to read people to a platform where she is able to
deliver what is needed in her work. She is an engaging presenter
who makes her audience think on a deeper level about life and
living it to the fullest.

I recently found myself reflecting on this analogy, and I have to admit, it rings true. Culture isn't a commodity you can purchase off a shelf; it's a living, breathing entity that demands attention, intention, and care.

It's time we challenge the status quo. Culture leadership isn't just a buzzword—it's an imperative. It requires relentless communication, mindful hiring, and every decision aligning with the culture you aspire to build.

So, are you building the culture you want, or are you leaving it to chance?
