Well, we are in the home stretch here in Niagara region. Winter-like conditions will soon be a thing of the past. This week we will be inundated by rain but as they say, “April showers bring May Flowers” and maybe a few aches and pains.

Do you find that in the damp cold rainy weather you feel a little achier? It’s no mystery that there is a correlation. What happens is the atmospheric pressure drops and the fluid in your joints build up causing your soft tissue to swell. This irritates the surrounding nerves and voila!

To combat against this annoyance don’t be afraid of movement. Stretch and exercise. It can help. Certain supplements may also do the trick. Stay positive! It usually involves a bit of trial and error.

You may want to start with a professional such as a reputable Naturopath to find out what is the best treatment for your aches.

Shout out to Doris Artner, Certified Reiki Master. I had an amazing Reiki treatment the other day. Doris begins by picking a card for you which directs her to the crystal and essential oil that will augment your treatment. You can opt to have hands on or above the body. The sensations during the treatment will vary. I myself felt tingling or a mixture of heat and cool. The treatment itself was oh so relaxing and full of messages. I felt as though I was receiving important downloads. The effects filter through you for a few days. So there you have it. A great experience. You should give it a try. Doris is a caring and tuned in practitioner. Highly recommend!

David is a British trained osteopathic manual practitioner with over 10 years of experience practicing in the UK, Canada and France.

David has experience treating people from all age ranges, from babies to the elderly, as well as office workers with low back pain or posture related issues, expectant mothers and athletes with sports related injuries. David has attended multiple post graduate courses in Europe and North America.

He is registered with the Ontario Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners, the General Osteopathic Council in the UK and the French regional health agency in France.

David's vision of Osteopathy: "An osteopathic manual practitioner is a mediator who must restore the delicate balance between structure and function; nature will do the rest".
