Julie and her associates provide general counselling and psychotherapy services under the supervision of registered psychologists who are licensed with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. Individual and Group counselling is available for residents of Hamilton-Niagara.

Just today, a client said she despaired for over a year because she couldn't find a Spanish-speaking therapist. Then she found Spa for the Soul. Our clinic prides itself in being a culturally competent, diverse, and trauma-informed practice. Our amazing associate, Norelis Alvarez provides service in Spanish, Portuguese, and English! She is the only therapist in Niagara who provides service in the first two languages mentioned.

I exited a client today.
It was obvious from the moment I saw her in the waiting room...
We were done.
It was the straightness of her spine.
The light in her eyes.
The smile on her face.

Saying goodbye to a client who has achieved her goals in therapy is an amazing moment.
Knowing that I played a role in helping her wade through grief and anxiety thrills me to the core.

This is why I so what I do. And this is why I always say my goal as a therapist is to work myself out of a job.

When a client no longer needs my services as a therapist - that is a sign of a job well done. That is what I work for - every single time.
