Spinal Correction of the Month:
This is Gray. He is 12 years young. He injured his neck last August on a trampoline and had severe neck pain. When pictures of his neck were taken, an alordotic or lack of curve in the neck was present. Rather what he had is commonly known in our profession as military neck which sets the stage for osteoarthritic degeneration if left uncorrected. So Gray was prescribed a Denneroll cervical traction device. He lied on it consistently most days for 10 months. The results speak for themselves. You can see how his curve is restored partially, his spinal cord is more relaxed and in less tension. Oh and his severe neck pain is a thing of the past. Gray will continue doing neck traction to maintain the results of his correction. Way to go Gray!!

A Chiropractic Christmas

In a cozy clinic, with snow gently falling,
The sound of soft laughter, the joy of good calling.
Chiropractors bustling, with warmth in their hearts,
As they help weary bodies, each doing their part.

The tables are ready, the adjustments in sight,
With gentle precision, they make spirits bright.
“Now, sit up straight!” they cheer with delight,
“Let’s align all your troubles, and banish the fright!”

The stockings are hung near the spinal chart’s glow,
While visions of good posture dance in the snow.
With each adjustment sound, a melody plays,
A symphony of healing, on this festive day.

The patients are smiling, their worries now eased,
With every adjustment, their spirits are pleased.
“Thank you!” they say, as they leave with a cheer,
“May your Christmas be merry, and filled with good cheer!”

So here’s to the adjusters, the healers so bright,
Who work through the season, bringing joy and delight.

This is Warren. Warren is 80 years old and has been a practice member at my office for 10 years. I say practice member because he really isn’t a patient. He was a patient when he was hurting back when I first met him and his lovely wife in 2014. He and his wife are currently practice members in the sense that when they come in for their once a month spinal check up and adjustment they are rarely, if ever in pain but want to do everything they can to prevent being in the pain that they were back in 2014. More importantly though, because they want to be healthy!! I’ve always said that regular chiropractic check ups are one of the best forms of self care you can give yourself! I should mention that Warren still plays competitive racquetball 3 times a week and can beat guys who are 10-15 years younger than him!!

Spinal Correction of the Month.
FB, an 18 yo female presented last November with neck & upper shoulder pain, as well as low back pain. She was aware that her posture was not good. X-rays revealed a severely reversed cervical curve (1st image). Along with chiropractic check ups and adjustments, she was prescribed a Denneroll cervical spinal extension traction orthotic. 8 months later (2nd image) you can see her curve is starting to return, as well as a reduction in her forward head posture. Her neck/shoulder pain & low back pain are non-existent. She knows she still has a way to go but intends to continue doing the traction work to her neck consistently to return and maintain her neck curve to it’s normal position for better health & longevity in the future.
