Important information about Potential Service Disruptions Due to Voyago Labour Negotiations
Dear Valued Rider,

We're writing to inform you that Niagara Transit is aware that Voyago, our contracted service provider for Specialized Transit and Microtransit, is currently engaged in labour negotiations with their union, ATU Local 846. While these negotiations are between Voyago and their union, we understand that a potential strike could impact the services they provide to our riders.

What Does This Mean for You?
If a strike occurs, services provided by Voyago may experience delays, cancellations, or be suspended until a resolution is achieved.

Affected Services:

· Intermunicipal Transit (cross boundary) Specialized and Microtransit

· Fort Erie – Microtransit and Specialized Transit

· Lincoln, Grimsby, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Pelham, Port Colborne, Wainfleet, West Lincoln – Local Microtransit within these communities

Services Not Affected:

· Conventional transit services (local and intermunicipal)

· Specialized Transit services in Welland, Niagara Falls, St. Catharines

· Microtransit services in Welland

Niagara Transit is committed to providing reliable transportation to our community. We are closely monitoring the situation and communicating with Voyago to understand the potential impact on our services and have been advised contingency plans are being reviewed.

A status update will be provided to our customers by email, on our website and our social media channels, as soon as the information has been made available. We recognize the essential role these services play in the lives of our customers, and we are committed to keeping you informed as the situation develops.
