On Tuesday March 31st from 6:30-8:00pm I am teaming up once again with the wonderful Katrina from for an evening of yin yoga, violin and sound healing 🎶

In this special session I take us on a recalibrating journey of yin yoga postures on the earth to help us slow down, soften, and sink into the sweetness of the present moment. All while Katrina serenades us with violin magic 🎻

Our yin yoga sequence will seamless guide us into a blissful Savasana, supported on the earth by props to then fully immerse ourselves in the unique combination of the crystal singing bowls and live violin, where Katrina and I intentionally harmonize notes 👌

This experience is open to all levels of ability ❤️

This past weekend we gathered around one of Ayurveda’s most important teachings: that optimal digestion, or agni, is the key to radiant health 🌱

In Ayurveda, digestion isn’t only responsible for breaking down the food we eat, but also the experiences, emotions, and information we take in each day.

Through educational conversation, intentional movement, cooking in community, breath, stillness and self-reflection, we explored how tending to our digestive fire is imperative to our wellbeing, mentally, physically and energetically.

There is something so powerful about slowing down long enough to listen to the wisdom of the body. About cooking in community. About moving with love and care. About reflecting on what we are taking in…and what we may be ready to release.

A heartfelt thank you to the beautiful humans who joined me for this Digestion, Ayurveda & Yoga Day Retreat. Your openness, curiosity, and willingness to explore these teachings made the day so special 🥹

I feel deeply honoured to share the wisdom of Ayurveda and the practices of Yoga with this community. These teachings continue to transform my life, and it is a privilege to witness them supporting yours as well 🙏

Swipe for a little ocean therapy 👉 🌊

& here’s what I was thinking 💭
Isn’t it interesting how:

We don’t grieve the sunset, we stand in awe of it.
That even as the light fades, we trust its return.

We respect nature’s impermanence and its process.
The tide recedes, the sun sets, everything moves in rhythm.

Why do we resist our own cycles, when the earth shows us how to surrender and have faith ?

Ayurveda helped me to remember that Mother Earth is our greatest teacher, and I am so grateful for how she consistently finds ways to remind me 🌍

Yoga saved my life…but not because I mastered the poses.

It was the self-inquiry.
The uncomfortable honesty.
The devotion to living with more awareness.
The philosophy.

When I was struggling, it wasn’t a handstand that shifted my perception of myself and the world around me…it was the 8-limbed path. The Yamas. The Niyamas. The breath. The stillness. The courage to look inward.

That is why I created Live Your Yoga.

For 6 weeks, we gently peel back the layers of what the Western world has often reduced yoga to (performative movement, flexibility and aesthetics) and return to the depth of the full 8-limbed path.

Each week is an exploration of these limbs through conversation and embodied practice, such as pranayama, meditation and guided reflection with self-practices to further integrate the themes between group sessions. Not to perfect the appearance of our Yoga asanas (postures) but to become more honest, compassionate and aligned humans.

I believe you shouldn’t have to take a yoga teacher training to access this wisdom. The teachings of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali are meant to be lived, by all of us ❤️

To the beautiful souls who embarked on this powerful journey with me over these past six weeks, THANK YOU! Your vulnerability, openness, and willingness to reflect cracked my heart wide open.

Witnessing your ah-ha moments is the greatest honour of my work.

Yoga is not what we do.
It’s how we live 🧘‍♀️

My digestion healing journey with Ayurveda 👆

If you are starting to feel a bit “crazy” because it seems like nobody is taking your digestive concerns seriously & your not getting the answers your looking for …

I SEE YOU.
I GET YOU.
& you certainly are not crazy.

The shifts I’ve made to bring me to where I am now with my digestion through Ayurveda are much more accessible and simple than you think.

In fact you’ll find yourself thinking “this feels so natural, why don’t we just learn this way from the beginning”

& it’s because we’ve advanced so rapidly as a society that as much as we’ve created some amazing things, we’ve also forgotten some really important things (like the simple act of actually CHEWING our food to aid digestion).

In my upcoming workshop on March 7th, if you even apply just ONE SMALL THING from what we learn together you will notice a difference in how you feel 🙏

Optimizing digestion doesn’t have to be difficult 🙏

Many people believe Ayurvedic food is just Indian food… IT IS NOT!

Ayurvedic cooking and eating is about optimizing digestion & you can apply these principles to so many different types of cuisines 👇

On your plate, aim to have:

🥕 🍚 60 % augmenting foods:

- this will consist of 30% grain & 30% augmenting vegetable, such as a root vegetable like carrots.

- augmenting foods help us build tissue and provide the necessary bulk to the stool so that it can move through the digestive tract successfully. We need slightly more augmenting foods than extractive to maintain our strength.

🥬 🫘 40% extractive foods:

- this will consist of 20% legumes (or meat) & 20% extractive vegetable, such as a dark leafy green like kale.

-extractive foods have a cleansing effect on the body, they require more work to digest. If we have too much extractive food and not enough augmenting food, the result is excess gas, dryness and constipation.
